Great recipe!! Your right Zach, great memories made while cooking with your kids. I cooked with my kids now I cook with my grandchildren. When I make my marinara sauce and if the tomatoes are really acidic I put a whole peeled carrot in the sauce (take it out before serving), and it takes the acidity out of the sauce.
I love watching your videos! Your manner is kind, and your instructions are so helpful! Could you please provide the recipe? Also, I would love to see a video on making the sauce in quantity and canning it!
This all looks amazing!!! Going to have to try it! And Zach I love the type of dad you are! I truly feel some of the best memories with my kids is sitting around the table eating a meal together!!!
That sauce looks delicious! I am sitting here remembering cooking with my Aunt Nellie and Mom. Walking across the street watching my cousin Carmella and her Mom canning tomatoes. I always wanted to learn, but they would say just take what you want lol! Great memories!
You had me at Italian!!! Mouthwatering through the whole video! We make a homemade sauce with our home-grown tomatoes and it is to die for! Pretty much the same recipe as Tammi's, except we add a bit of red wine. Another GREAT cooking show Zach - Thank you!
The San Marzano tomatoes make such a difference in the sauce! Those are the only canned tomatoes I use. Definitely going to make your Chicken Parmesan! Your recipes are fantastic! I just made my roast like you do, and it made the best roast ever! You have to write a cookbook!! 🩵🩵
Yum! I can’t wait to try this! It looks so easy! I made Tammy’s chicken parmesan, and it was delicious! I’m so excited to add this sauce instead of sauce in a jar now! Thanks y’all for sharing!
My brother makes this, pretty much this way. He does dice the roma tomatoes really small. Haven't had it with the mozzarella tho. It's sooo good. I can't get enough of it. Love a good bruschetta!
Does Tammi water bath can or pressure can the sauce?? It’s nice that they make it shelf stable to last a year. Looks so simple but probably taste gourmet!! At what point did you add the basil and parsley? Thanks for sharing another cooking from the heart video!!
I'm watching...Italian here. Love to eat and that's why I cook too! Did you add a tablespoon of SUGAR to cut the acidic in the tomatoes-Napoli secret maybe?
I can't wait to try this one, I've been looking for a good marinara sauce. The one I make is a recipe from Pioneer Woman. It's good and my family loves it but it's not very thick. I love a good thick marinara and this looks like it would do the trick. Also, it looks so easy to make. I thought it was going to be so difficult to make. I know her family cans it but I wonder if it will freeze well? Anyway, I have to use up what I have in the freezer but the next time I make marinara sauce, I am going to give this one a try. Thank you again Zach and Tammi for sharing another delicious recipe.
That’s what my family dose with are Doma if u don’t help make it u don’t get to eat it lol it’s so easy to make just time consuming so once a year we go pick our grape leaves and then sit around the table and roll it’s the best dinner of our year
@@Thebateskitchen with every video, Zach looks more and more relaxed, at ease and consequently more professional...well done...keep up the good work !!! Also, love it when Whitney or the kids are.on with you!!
Thank you so much! I've been waiting for this! I have so many tomatoes in the garden that I need to use! As far as canning goes, how long would you can it and can I use just a water bath or do I need an actual pressure cooker canner?
Zach....great as always. May i ask which olive oil you were both referring to as the best taste, i can never find one. Thank you. Great job on sauce. As usual, cant wait😊
We half the time we put the bread in the oven in the beginning, then add the garlic and tomatoes, put the mozarella on top and put it back in the oven, so the mozarella melts.
Yes they cook a giant batch as a family and can for the whole year from fresh tomatoes to the end product! This was similar recipe but from canned to be made quickly!
I am MAKING THIS!!! That bread and sauce and the bread with mozzarella and tomatoes oh my word!!! DELICIOUS!! ❤❤🎉🎉 Love Bates Kitchen!!!
It was amazing! And so simple to make!

I remember my mom canning when I was a kid… great memories but I’ve never tried on my own!
@@Thebateskitchen Me either. We lived in an apartment, so my mom never canned.

I’m not sure! My mom always pressure canned but I have not gotten into the canning! Also the herbs and aromatics were the last thing to add!
Now you are talking my favorite food area Italian. Looks so good.
It’s so clean and simple, but so amazing!
Wowwww was not expecting this video so oon but will definitely be making my own maranara this video had perfect timing!!

Yummy. Are the recipes written somewhere? I kept rewinding but got caught up in the entertainment
I’m working on loading it in the description!
I learn something new in all the vlogs . There’s a plant app, you take a picture of the plant and it tells you what it needs
I’ve seen that!
@@Thebateskitchen I’m trying to plant some veggies next year so I’m getting it due to the fact that I’ve killed all the plants I’ve had
I would rather have homemade anyday compared to store bought. Homemade just taste so much better
And it’s probably better for you as well!
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊
Zach!!! Double dippin'!!! 😂❤
It’s just that good!
Written recipe?
Great recipes!! Is there a special onion you use in the sauce?
I think it was just a sweet onion!

Sooo gooood
🤤😂
Is there a written recipe?
When did the parsley and basil go in? Did I miss that?
That was the last thing added! Sorry we missed in the edit!
Zach with the homemade Mariana sauce how can you store the homemade sauce for a year to where you can eat it when you want
Tammi’s family cans it! I have not canned any though!
Yummy marinara sauce
Thank you 😋
When was the basil added to the sauce?
Right as it starts to simmer, sorry if I missed that in the edit!
Redmond’s Real Salt… so good for you and such great flavor❤ Bet they’d give you a code to give your viewers too❤😊
I’ll see about that! Thanks!!
Would she share her recipe for canning her marinara? I am wanting to can some and would like to try hers with fresh tomatoes
Does tammi pressure can the marinara to make it last all year?
Yes they cook a giant batch as a family and can for the whole year from fresh tomatoes to the end product! This was similar recipe but from canned to be made quickly!
Zach, you need a sloped sauté pan in order to flip the pan with your wrist.
What is that olive oil called
It was farchioni!
Hello from NC
Hello there!
Sauce or gravy?
Where is the written recipe?
I must have missed that!
Hmm, talk show hosts!
