It is intriguing when Punk interacts with the people from his past and also people he has no history with. That's always been in my opinion entertaining. I remember I popped when Austin and Cena, Brock, CM Punk, Goldberg, hell even the nWo were on screen together for the first time.
I think The Wrestler flick actually conveyed how tough the business can be as a whole on family etc...That is the "personal aspects". Especially, for indy talent who will never be in front of a 30 or 40k crowd. And also those that are veterans and older in the business trying to reclaim there prime. And how difficult that struggle can be. That's what i got out of it. But i think the message may be different for everyone who watches it. I have two friends and a personal trainer who are in this business on the indy scene. And they all agree with my take on the film. But again everyone's going to have different opinion and that's fine.
Kevin's right about Punk. There is an "art" to gigging the right way. And it certainly isn't having everyone SEE you stab yourself repeatedly. The long hair Kev or Taker had helps tremendously to hide it. A lot of guys go under the apron after a chair shot. In Japan since i watch A LOT of matches from there. Most of the guys i am seeing that are doing it are getting busted open the hard way. But then again everything is "strong style" over there when it comes to pro wrestling. Which is why i prefer it over American style.

Good point! Sammy & KO was a really good team but they ended that way too soon. Solo & Jimmy should have been built as a tag team months ago not the endless nothing they are doing at the moment. They had the right idea with RKBro (1 superstar & 1 up and comer) as they actually put some effort into the relationship. Orton is such a bigtime star though it was only going to have a limited run in any case. Jey & Cody Roadie slapped together for a 9 day reign was really ordinary story writing. @@TroystonB

I used to work at the trop, by the time I found out about the event I was kinda SOL/outpriced. But it's cool to see events happening in St pete again, I remember WCW used to have events here back in the day when I was still a small tot.

We had a brief conversation over Twitter DMs last year where I told him I hoped he would come over to the UK for one last run on the indies, so I could work him!
Absolutely no disrespect to Nash or any of the other retired wrestlers but I'm so glad there were no podcast back during the Monday night wars / attitude era because too many secrets of the business are revealed these days and it just takes all the magic away. These days I feel like I know too much for me to get lost in the fantasy of it all as I once did in my younger days.

I did pillow shopping around 5 years ago because the herniated discs in my neck are terrible. Settled on a Sagino. Has a removable shell that has one hot side and one cool side that's gel infused. But the thing that's good about it is the inner core has a zippered pouch so you can adjust the fill. Plus it's nice to be able to wash the shell anytime I want.

Having said that, your show suffers a great deal from the politics talk. You're both hardcore Dems and that's fine. If your show was targeted strictly at Dems, I'm sure you'd have zero complaints from the fans/subscribers. As a Centrist, the pro-Left talk isn't for me. And I'm sure if I was a Republican, it'd be straight up difficult to listen to the show altogether. So here's an idea: have whoever edits the show create a politics-free edit that drops simultaneously as the full cut. I guarantee you that the politics-free edit will get much more love and will eliminate most of the complaints you guys see on here. Think of it like a good restaurant where you have a smoking section and a non-smoking section. Just an idea, guys. You're both great. Kev, you're a LEGEND. Bless you and yours

One problem today is we have ZERO credibility in a heel or a face. Check it. Heels always cheat to win now. Faces never cheat and lose often. There is no build ups anymore either. Its just like bruce Prichard said. ' It should be like making love.. 2 and 1/2 hrs of foreplay and then an amazing 1/2 hour of ecstasy. Right now, Vince and now Hunter are just sticking their diks in and blowing their loads for 3 hours. THIS IS THE PROBLEM. TOO much showcasing and not enough showmanship. Back in the day when people jobbed to BOTH heels and faces, it indicated a hierarchy of talent did exist. People could compete against these big names and the skills would exemplify how they excelled or not. You could see the Undertaker wrestle a complete jobber and wipe them out. That built character. Then you could see Honky Tonk man blitz someone also. That built character. THEN put Undertaker and Honky Tonk together. On paper, this looks like a creaming by Undertaker. BUT that is the issue. EVERY match is a mini PPV we already know the answers to because theres a PPV coming up and they can NOT change anyone's standings so it still supports that PPV,, weeks, months down the road. THAT means NO one changes their status until then. PREDICTABLE!!! right now.. EVERY match is like a PPV on paper and theyre being given on TV freely. We used to have to wait til Saturday night main events to see named performers we knew vs other named performers we knew. The rest of the week, was just the performers wrestling jobbers. THAT is one glaring issue today in wrestling.
Have WWEs top 3 superstars (Orton, Lesnar, Reigns) even wrestled 20 matches for the whole year? The others are not top guys. AEW has more based off that : Moxley, Omega, Danielson, MJF, Edge, Christian, Jericho, Samoa Joe. Hangman, J.White, W.Offspring, A.Cole, are your tier below guys not top guys.
