Thanks for video. I have a question: This is obviously cheaper than the virtuoso but same burrs. There are micro adjustments...., but could you touch on whether the virtuoso plus offers things that you don't get here.... I'm not sure whether this makes virtuoso obsolete?
I almost pulled the trigger on getting the Fellow Ode 2nd gen until I saw your video in my feed. I wanted something cheap(compared to my Niche Zero) that can do espresso and a Moccamaster grind. Fellow Ode was my only budget option, until now. Your timing on this is nothing less than superhuman.
Woke up planning on buying an OG Encore and sourcing a [currently hard to find] M2 burr for my AeroPress household - - didn’t realize this new ESP model had dropped. It looks like it has several advantages over the OG Encore + mod … starting with not having to track down the in-short-supply M2 burr and perform the surgery. If buying OG Encore plus burr, the price is fairly equivalent too.
But it is an espresso-focused grinder, and we only use the AeroPress. And sometimes cold brew. So those 1-20 grind settings (and the goal of the machine) is kind of a waste. Do you (or anyone here) have a recommendation on which path to take?
Hello new here.
It's 35 inches high?? (or is that 35 cm?)
