    I love the good vibes that you breathe in your channel. I have closely followed your work and I can confirm the love for what you do and the pleasure when you share it.
    Step by step has been generating a chain of favors in the way of creating a perfect circle, where each of the participants at a certain time have been protagonists, freely sharing a knowledge a suggestion in an educated way to improve your work, a sentence of encouragement that motivates to continue forward leaving aside the fatigue, some concern, or perhaps a personal problem. Giving is the best way to receive. Thanking is the way to multiply. You have had the opportunity to receive a product that you have honestly and respectfully valued, and which in turn has shared extending friendship ties.
    Your transparency, love of life, respect for others and your humility have managed to link with each of those who in turn vibrate in the same harmony with you. The achievement belongs to everyone. Congratulations. To continue working so that each day is greater this community where there has been no envy, no professional zeal, only a deep intention to support and grow together, learn and share.
    Finally, I have two questions;
    What happens with the female gender in this work area, perhaps there are gender problems as in other areas? I hope the female voice is heard.
    How is Pepe? 👍

    that's a sweet looking cart, if it were my cart I would like the keyboard to go below the mixer and I would put the black magic where you have the keyboard, but that's just me

    How is the drawer attached to the cart? I know that the soundcart mini has a 1/2 size rack mounts running through the middle but that drawer is the full 19" rack???

    great video, but I think the edits are a bit too fast for us to really appreciate all the features on the cart. a good, still, five second shot on each part would've been cool.
    but hey Rodolfo, could you make a video on the reasoning behind having a script on hand when you're mixing?

    Hey Rodolfo, great looking cart, looks expensive too... Can you make a short video about gain staging using the SD633 or how it would apply? I'm asking this because I found myself recording three ISO tracks plus having to send the L/R mix output to a camera. My struggle was clipping the signal to the camera coming out of the mixer while keeping good levels to the ISO tracks. My first thought was the sound files are most important but I also wanted the output level to the camera to be right. My second thought was to lower the gain to each channel but that seemed to bring the ISO tracks too low. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    I did some additional searching into this new mixer and believe I found the answer to my previous question. If I rotate the Select Encoder to highlight the LR track then press down, it turns orange which allows me to rotate the encoder and bring the output level down without the need to bring the ISO gain track down. This is also true for the X1/X2 & X3/X4 outputs. Does that sound about right? Saludos.

    Rodolfo! So do you apply low cut filter during on location recording or do you let the post sound people add that in post? Any advise? I read some where it was not recommended. Don't remember where LOL. Any thoughts? and if you apply how much is too much? 80hz, 120hz etc? Thanks in advance.

    • @VincentRozenberg
      @VincentRozenberg 6 років тому +2

      Sy Eckbe if I can take the liberty to shine a light on that: low cutting during recording (basically EQing) can sometimes help avoiding recording a distorted signal. A real world example I had in the past; I was shooting a scene on a ferry boat with the very loud engine on. The low rumble was so load, it distorted the signal. Rolling of the low ends saved me there.
      IF, and the IF is important in this situation, the roll off is before the preamp, the signal will not go distorted into the preamp. A distorted signal can cause analog artifacts in other regions of the eq spectrum, like high noise. The moment you record that it's more difficult to get rid of it. So to answer it short, if low cut is before preamp (at the microphone or at the mixer stage), yes it can be better in certain situations.

      Vincent Rozenberg Thank you for this! Very helpful.

    • @VincentRozenberg
      @VincentRozenberg 6 років тому +1

      Sy Eckbe no problem. If you want another argument for using low cut whilst recording; if you use limiters, you might want to consider roll off. Let's say you have a very high low rumble close to 20hz. You will not hear it and dialog will not be affected. BUT it can trigger your limiter because the limiter is just set to act on all frequencies. Thus, it gives the limiter a "false" trigger.
