Have a similar set up on mine & always empty the gun after use and hang it up to avoid any damage but being a driveway cleaner it doesn't get everyday use. I noticed a creak from the trigger recently and then noticed the plastic shroud on the quick release coupling had started to crack. Thinking that the coupling was gonna fail, i removed it and found the end of the gun was very rusty indeed and the plastic shroud is only actually a cover and underneath it is just like a standard knurled brass coupling. I sprayed WD40 down the gun & quite a bit of rusty debris came out . The creak is now fully gone & then a couple of sprays of Atom Mac should preserve it a little . Might be worth a try to prevent any problems in the future👍🏻
