- Today I'm reacting to Lewis Capaldi's new song "Forget Me". When I saw the music video it really inspired me to do this video as I really respect his choices as an artist. His music and music production might not be what I'm into but I think he is one of the best male pop stars around right now.

The acoustic version is THE ONE. Awesomely better than this studio version; the raspiness of his voice and the simplistic chord progression create a perfect and essential strip down arrangement. Beautiful. It should've been the official version.

He's such a funny dude. Off his rocker ha! Has a great raspy voice but it gives me a bit of ear fatigue listening sometimes. I'd love to see him release a rock album with that voice I think it would really suit his voice. Also, I always wonder about the longevity of a person's singing career when they are grating their vocals chords this much, it would be nice to hear him use a cleaner sound at times too I think. Anyway, woffling on. Good video JH

I love how Lewis Capaldi is always unapologetically himself! As that comment said, there’s no bullshit about him, he’s just genuine, there’s no front or reservations about him, it’s brilliant and refreshing.
I wish a bit of that rawness could translate into his music though as it feels like generic pop to me. Sometimes it’s hard to differentiate one artist from another. If I hadn’t seen the video I could easily have believed that this was Harry Styles or some other male pop vocalist. Where’s originality and variety gone from pop?

Hi Justin. I was at the Ed Sheeran gig at Chantry park and your set was amazing! I booked the tickets for my other half as she had always wanted to see Ed Sheeran and when I learned you were supporting it absolutely made my year. How did it feel as a band playing to a crowd that was for the most part, not your typical demographic, with such a big turn out did it make you work harder or did you just decide fuck it and have as much fun as you could??

I love Lewis Capaldi as a person, (I mean a homage to Club Tropicana? ROFL he’s a legend) and his voice is great, but his music is just the antithesis of his personality. I don’t get it. I do wish him continued success though, he’s a breath of fresh air to have around.

The effect/fuzz noise over his voice is killing it for me. I just can't enjoy anyone who uses it. Is it an artifact from auto-tune or just an effect, I don't know. It sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me. A shame, because I really wanted to enjoy it.
