Same story,98% having made some seriously bad choices would like to be rescued without being held responsible. But,free booze, ciggies, and alcohol please. This story being another example of the homeless industrial complex when it runs out of OTHER PEOPLES MONEY.
Thanks goodness give the homeless water and electricity that way they won't need to look for work. The lady with the heart and liver issues. She maybe the 2% of homeless that are truly homeless. The other 98% have drug and or alcohol issues and made poor decisions in life. Now we the hardworking very high tax paying people need to take care of them. We need to stop giving these people a pass. Tough love, it works. Also we need remove all animals from these people if they cant take care of themselves then they can't take care of a innocent animal.
The other 98% are just as unemployable as that lady is. Everyone at that camp was at risk of deathly infections before the water got shut off, now its multiplied along with the certain outbreaks of drug rot. In their current state, there is no job that they can have that wouldn't be a danger to themselves and others. We tried tough love, many times, it made things worse. We also tried to throw money at the problem, that's how come our taxes are so damn high. Harm reduction and community outreach is the only way out of this. It's also the only way to help those innocent animals who see the homeless as their family.
@@dianah5841 Have you ever seen animals, dog and cats, mainly dogs that have been abused (beaten) starved, completely dehydrated from lack of water? I have and it sickening. And for what? So the poor homeless person can pretend to have compassion? The dogs (and cats a cat will move on faster than a dog) do what dogs do, love without knowing the consequences. As for community outreach, you mean the non-profit mafia. You're right you can't throw money at it. You need to give them food and water etc AFTER they have earned it, somehow be it after an N.A. or A.A. meeting or for those who are willing able a small job, cleaning streets, picking up parks, clearing out homeless encampments, something. Anyway thanks for the reply and I respect your view, don't agree with it but at least you're thinking and trying!
