Madeira, Rabacal, Levada 25 Fontes (PR6) and Levada Risco (PR6.1)

The route starts from the parking area along the road between Calheta and Paul da Serra (ER211). The path is initially wide and easy to navigate. In the background you can see a wonderful waterfall, which we will visit on the way back. At the beginning there is an 800 m long tunnel where you need a lamp. Of course, we go to see the 25 Fontes cauldron and the Risco falls.

Oikein nostalgiseksi tulee, kun näitä maisemia katselee, on sen verran täällä kuljettu ja videoitu. Silloin ei ollut tätä yksisuuntaisuutta . Kahdesta paikkaa olen laskeutunut Vermelha-levadalle, ekan kerran siitä mutkasta vähän ennen putouksia ja toisen kerran siitä nykyään kielletystä paikasta. Siinä sai mennä paikoin melkein persluisua maanvyörymien takia.
