    I really don't understand why such a clear cut case requires so many trials

    • @jessylee2844
      @jessylee2844 7 років тому +715

      because her family has the money to hire actual attorneys. Plus she gets the ," pretty white girl" benefit of the doubt in jurors minds. She is a narcissist/ sociopath and that is the main reason she couldn't admit guilt and take what would have probably been 4 or 5 years in a plea deal. Roll the dice and lose in a trial and they punish you for making them go to the trouble of a trial.

      @@jessylee2844 If she admitted to everything and took responsibility, i wonder what her plea deal would be. 4 or 5 years seems low. i would venture a guess of 8 years. but, that's much better than 20 that she originally got.

      Dam she got over all those years of house arrest count toward her sentence. She only gonna do like 4 years in real prison. They should let her rot with Jodi Aries. As of today the Black Dalia still has 8 years left on her sentence. By the time she gets out, the child she had to try and manipulate the court, will be just finishing school.

      +Nathan Baker not exactly. you don't necessarily get credit for time under house arrest

    • @nathanjamesbaker

      Right. The judge can choose to factor in time served, but that will be in the judge's discretion.

    • @nathanjamesbaker
      @nathanjamesbaker 7 років тому +4

      I'm saying the sentence is up to the judge. The most she is looking at is 20 years in jail. Or she could get an 8 year sentence with credit for time served, in which case she would walk free.
