The government caused this mess by granting the extension to the contract negotiations to CN in 2022 which caused both railways to be at the negotiation period simultaneously. This Liberal blunder (incompetence) elevated the adverse affects this lockout/strike will have on the Canadian economy, it also affect the bargaining power of these workers because they are being forced to accept arbitration, where they would probably be able to strike if the other railway was operation. Once again, the Trudeau Liberals have failed to provide competent leadership.

Demand an OH&S audit if the rail strike is really about that use that power to force the feds to put legislation together not allowing a company to cut corners making safety a NON Negotiable item for the company. Unions should not be negotiating safety.
Otherwise if you disagree than this strike was never about safety. When Canada is trying so hard to fix the economy railworkers want more money, that would not fly and conservatives would have done this to thats why they are quiet.
