Late but, these aren’t leads. These are electrodes, and yes you only see 10. Two of the wires (not yet connected to electrodes) each give double leads.
Hi. So the RL doesn't actually go on the leg ? My mom just had her ekg & this is how it's placed too. None on the limbs and with the RL , LL, by her pelvis area instead, like your medical dummy. The tech said it was a 10 lead. Is the tech's placement of the leads an alternate/different method ?
10 leads but 12 views of the heart. Limb lead placement on arms and legs was omitted given the missing anatomy of the mannequin. Per the AHA www.heart.org/-/media/Files/Affiliates/WSA/Montana/Mission-Lifeline-Montana/MLL-12-lead-Physio-ucm_484861.pdf
I’ve been told that limb lead placement doesn’t necessarily HAVE to go on the limbs, however when doing doing a 12 lead you probably should just go leave space open on the Pt’s bottom left side Incase you put the LL lead too close to where V4 5 and 6 would go.
@@joshuazatarain7967 a "modified lead placement" ie on the torso needs to be marked as such. limb leads should be place on the limbs - distally -but can be place more proximal to reduce artefact due to body movement - but they have to be symmetrically placed
Very easy to understand and 3D view is also good
As a retired EKG college professor The limb lead electrode placements should be on the limbs, not on the patient’s chest.
The manikin does not have limbs
@@Itsalexusblack I think it was meant as a humorous comment. 🤔

As a retired ekgksks I'd say he demonstrated a perfect trunk
This is the best video a have see on many time. Cogratulations and thank you so much. Your good doing this
THANK YOU!!!! NOW I CAN BE SUCCESSFUL AS AN ED TECHNICIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤘
Electrocardiograma bien hecho 👍 12 derivaciones 📃
Awesome 👍
How with bedside monitor that have 3 and 5 electrodes
Sir how to place C1 C2 in female pt, miss placement always leading to wrong results, is the any simple way to place C1 C2 correctly
Sir please tell me about 12 leads here only 10 leads is present
10 electrode placement another 2 electrode
A 12 lead is 10 electrodes placed. 2 of the electrodes show 2 views w/ 1 lead, so you don't need 12 like the name of the test suggests!
Isn't RA right arm and RL right leg? Why are you putting them on the chest?
The dummy doesn’t have limbs so that’s why they were placed there
limb leads need to go on limbs !!

Wrong colour of the limb leads
She looks Ethiopian Jew. Bless her
There are only 10 tho?
10 leads but 12 views of the heart
@@NURSEiT OOOOOOH now i understand how this works! in my book it says 12 leads but all i saw is 10 placements now i know how it works, thank you!
A “Lead” is a computed output or a view, a “Twelve-Lead ECG” computes twelve different views of the heart using the signals from ten electrodes.
@@NURSEiT a lead isn't an electrode or a wire - a lead is the view !! hence 12 lead ecg
I only see ten leads though
It’s 12 views of the heart and 10 placements I believe

RL?
I guess right leg

the tech obviously isn't a good one - a "lead" isn't an electrode - its a "view" of the heart
