yeah its totally different than the original versions and some don't like that but i grew up with this film so i love it...i've seen clips of the original film and i knew it would totally bore me as a little kid, but anyways enjoy!

Just watched this great movie with my 18 yr old daughter and she enjoyed it as much as I did. I tell you, a true classic is just that, when it not only stands up over the years from when you first saw it (I was 24) - it actually exceeds classic status when a whole 'nother generation thanks you for sharing it with them!!! And It's scary when you still remember all of the words to the theme song as if it was yesterday!

Wow I remember this from when I was a kid and owning the original VHS tape, nowadays people might think this is cheesy but I am willing to bet that this movie takes a lot of people back to a better time in their life like myself. I don't care what people think, but this was a classic all ages film, thanks for the post.
This movie is the reason one of my cats (an orange tabby) was named Milo. This movie was a huge part of my childhood, I'll never forget it.
This is one of the first movies I ever remember seeing. When I finally watch it again someday after all these years it's definitely going to bring alot of things back...

My favorite movie of ALL TIME! I LOVED it as a little baby and I still watch it. I have 2 copies of it on DVD and I actually just finished watching it. I wanted to see what there was of it on youtube. I wish they still made movies like this.

Memories. Seeing Milo and Otis at the cinema when it was released. An aunt took my brother and I. We were surrounded by an audience of mostly grandparents and parents with their grandchildren and children.
A few years later my Media Studies teacher mentioned Milo and Otis. He had seen a bit when at a barbecue. He liked how the Western version was done, with the narration by the late Dudley Moore.
Oh man this brings me back to bein a kid. I mean really a kid 4-6 years or so. Hell I remember watching this 20 years ago. Time to sit down and watch it again. Two dogs at my feet, and a cat almost on my shoulder...The cat in a position to strike...hmmm take that as you will.
I remember as a 5 year old in 1993, singing and clapping to this song whenever it popped in my mind. Great memories.
I HAVE THIS MOVIE AND MY CAT THAT IS 4 MONTHS OLD WATCHED THE WHOLE MOVIE WITH ME! SHE JUST STARED AT THE SCREEN, WATCHING THE MOVIE HAPPILY!! LOL!! WHENEVER I PUT ON THE TRAILER, OTHER THAN WHEN SHE WAS ASLEEP, SHE WOULD WATCH IT!! MY KITTEN AND I LOVE THE MOVIE!! #1 MOVIE!!
many memories I have I had a pug she was adorable live for so long and when I was a kid are used to always cuddle up to her when I watch this movie honestly this is the most highlighted movie in my childhood that makes me smile

this brought back some memories. the part with the shack on the beach when milo first saw the bear coming scared me as a little kid. So did the part with the owl.

i actually went out after i saw this movie and bought an american shorthair red tabby and named her milo. :) that was 11 years ago and she's sitting with me now while we watch this!

This was a childhood favorite, but learning the animals were abused and endangered during the production ruins the magic to say the least. Sobering.

This movie...is such a masterpiece. I remember watching it on TV when I was very young, then later asking my mom for the title of "the movie with the cat floating in the box." I rented it several times, so my mom decided to just buy it for me...and I'm delighted to own it, along with many other magical childhood memories. :D Sometimes I catch myself singing, "We're gonna take a walk outside today, gonna see what we can find today!"
I grew up with this haha... favorite movie of all time i wore my vhs out as a kid
yeah i used to love this movie also, and then 1 day i found it in the 5 dollar bin at walmart. i've got a son now who i let watch with me the first time and within like 10 minutes he was like milo and otis are cool. the best was when milo was in the crate floating down the river and he was like "Daddy, where's Milo going?" its a great movie for the family :D
As children, my little sisters and I were obsessed with this movie. We used have a bunch of those pound purries and all the orange stripped ones we go we named Milo. XD
You know, i'm a grown ass man, and i still love this movie. It's Cute animals with a wide angle lens THE MOVIE! :DDDDD

It's interesting to note that Milo as a young kitten was swept away by the same river that would later take him and a wooden box down stream. You'd think he'd know better than to get too close to the river again after his first river experience.
