I have a 1217er and it was working perfectly and the other day it just went dead. There is no lights or sounds and the reset on the power cord is not having any effect either. It does not light up either. Any ideas as to what it might be?

Can I just bypass the GCFI board and just plug it straight in? or will it not work at all without the GCFI?
Frigidaire window air conditioner, have a small flat l shape piece of metal, where do it go.
Is there a fuse in this unit? Mine will not power on at all. I get the green light at the plug when I hit reset, but no start chime and the unit does not respond to any buttons.

@@2784474 I opened mine up. There's two fuses on the main PCB board. Both were blown. I changed them and got the unit to wake up. Chimes and lights but no motor. I bought a new PCB unit from searsparts direct and plugged it in. AC is functioning again.

@@hectormorales4002 I replaced the main board and got the unit to work for another 3 months of Summer and then it failed again.

@@repairclinic I don’t care about the website products you refer on your video. The constructor of my house, put three electric wires coming straight out of the wall, at the place where the air conditioner is meant to be put on. I came to youtube to seek help on where to find a wire connector, possibly the same you referring on your own video, and to learn on how to connect the general electric ac to the house’s electricity. From seeing your educational video about this specific LG A/C, i thought that it’s possible to unplug the pre-installed power cord of my ge ac and to connect the ac directly to the electric wires setup, that the constructor set.

I’m from a completely different continent to begin with, and most importantly, i don’t came to youtube for this specific reason. I couldn’t find anywhere on the web, a video that would solve my the question, from above, neither from my machine’s unprofessional manual, so I tried to seek any little help i could take from the answer i was expected to take, but what i took is an affiliate link about a product which is completely useless for my job.
