    I’m no one’s fan just MotoGP fan. All I will say is, looking at what Marc is doing with his gp23 bike against gp24 bikes on the grid only 7 races in Ducati bike is insane. Imagine him on gp24 guys. Just think about it as a fan how quickly Marc has adopted to this Ducati bike in just 7 races with last years bike plus how fast he is going to be still. I understand Ducati 100% and they see all the data from gp23 bikes and the gp24 bikes. We outsiders doesn’t know anything so we just have to wait. Martin is very fast rider indeed but he is not top dog yet and now Pedro Acosta has come into the picture. KTM would have been nice bike for Martin aggressive riding style not Aprilia because that Bike is not ready yet and his riding style will be a problem with Aprilia bike. That’s my observation with the situation.

      Totally solid points. Marc has adapted so quickly and so well to that Ducati it's incredible!

      Agree that Marc Marquez is smoking the other 2023 Ducati's. And is also close to the 2024 Ducati's.
      But it's untrue Martin's riding style would suit the KTM better! As the Aprilia turns through the corners fast, which is one of Martin's main strengths.
      His extreme lean angle through the corners. Aprilia bike does need a few improvements here and there. But Aprilia Martin combination could be a perfect match.

      I do agree with the point about Martin's riding style - the Ducati needs to be ridden a certain way. It's built by engineers for engineers.
      KTM and Aprilia, I feel, still have that experience where the rider makes the difference

      That's exactly what it is. Martin is fast driver, many others are also, but Marc is on another level, I'm not sure if even Acosta is on his level, maybe he is, he's clearly level above the other riders, on Marcs level? probably not.
      So Ducati did the the logical thing.

    What people seem to forget is that Marc is challenging those two guys on a third tier GP 23. This is not the same bike that won the championship last year… This is Zarko‘s old bike, which did not receive any of the upgrades that the GP 23 received last year, so Ducati is seeing that in seven races Marc has done so much with a bike he should not be able to remotely compete on. You guys also have to remember that 2027 resets everyone to zero… So thinking of the future in terms of past the next two years wouldn’t have made any sense. The PR nightmare that would have come to Ducati if Marc did leave and beat them next year would have meant the end of a lot of peoples careers at Ducati. They really had no choice. And I am so here for it! How much more exciting has this made MotoGP?? We will now have the possibility of winners from KTM Aprilia, and Ducati every race!

      And that is not to mention how much Marc’s story has brought viewers to MotoGP. At a time when MotoGP really needs the viewers Marc and Pedro are saving our sport!

    • @Coupe-gf7sc
      @Coupe-gf7sc 15 днів тому +3

      And, when things reset in 2027, who will come on top? The best rider, and that's MM93, no discussion there, he's above the others and that is clear as day to anyone who can see it without bias.

    looking forward to Marc being at the top again , he's unquestionably better than Martin so there's no need to justify why he took the factory bike over him. and if you think Ducati will regret this you're absolutely crazy , just watch Martin next year get smoked week in week out just like every other top rider on other bikes , he may get a sprint win every now and then maybe even a race win , but Ducati will have the guy that beat Martin on equal machinery for a couple of years now in Pecco , and will have the guy who's fighting them both on a year old Ducati and probably the best rider we saw in the last decade, so I don't think they should be worried at all.

    Ducati would have had pressure from Lenovo, Fiat etc. Marc is a marketing goldmine, he's equally loved and hated, but always in the headlines. It wasn't solely up to Ducati.

    Disagree w/ the hosts that ducati should have kept Martin and enea because they invested in these guys. That makes zero sense. There is no chance Enea will get a world championship. Regarding Martin, he has been riding a Ducati for 4 yrs. Marc in just 6 short races in a year old bike. Your analysis is pretty clueless.

      Hey! I'm the missing host on this podcast and my thoughts moreso align with yours and Marc, but I see where Kate and Pozz were coming from. Marc is essentially getting older and it's not sustainable for coming years. But I think Martin would need more time to grow than get the factory ducati seat.

    I can understand Ducati choosing Marc Marquez over Martin because Martin is already riding latest factory bike similar to pecco and he is strong leading championship points but Marc is riding gp23 and his race time is better than both pecco and Martin of last year with gp23 he is faster than both of them by 15,20 sec. More he ride this bike he is going to become stronger and stronger and in 2027 rules are going to change and Marc already ride bike without aero and less electronic so it will be easy for him in 2027 if he doesn't retire

    But in the year 2025, MM93 still has to challenge Pecco Bagnaia. Remember, MM93 still has not yet won a 1st place podium. We all know but may not want to admit if Pecco Bagnaia was on the year older, 2023, ducati. And MM93 & JM89 was on the new 2024 ducati. Pecco Bagnaia would still get in first place at the same rate and amount that he's done this year ....

    • @KateMaAdams
      @KateMaAdams 16 днів тому +2

      I'd have to disagree, while I do think Pecco is a rider who is often under rated - I don't think he would be out scoring Marc & Jorge if they were on current year spec bikes and he was on a year old.
      I do think he will be a title contender next year and I am so excited to see him battle Marc!

    • @wIndstar47
      @wIndstar47 15 днів тому +1

      @KateMaAdams You are very correct, and I agree with everything you said. But the reason I said what I said is because Pecco Bagnaia is a quiet killer 🤫. He speaks very calmly & soft, but if you look at his eyes, he has a fierce look in them. Pecco Bagnaia has a sneaky mean streak that he carries with him and a very strong will, and when you have a will as strong as Bagnaia's, I believe you can win 🏆 on any spec motorbike 🏍(just my opinion). Marq Marquez just might have a problem with Pecco Bagnaia next year and this year. Now Pecco Bagnaia knows Marq Marquez will be his teammate on the Lenovo factory ducati next season. Because Pecco Bagnaia definitely does not want Marquez there ................... (I just hope it doesn't get as bad as Valentino Rossi & Jorge Lorenzo)🙄!!

      Compare Peccos times at Magello last year on the2023 bike to MM93 times at Magello on pretty much the same bike this year

    • @wIndstar47
      @wIndstar47 12 днів тому +1

      @Wellokthen I just don't see how a year old 2023 ducati has anything to do with not winning a race 🤔??!? Maybe I'm wrong, but I still feel Pecco Bagnaia would win on the 2023 Gresini Ducati as he is currently winning on the 2024 Lenovo factory ducati 🏭. The thing about Pecco Bagnaia is that nobody knows him. He walks around so sweet 😋 and kind 😇 that you don't see the fierce competitive side in him. He hides it so well!! But if you look very closely at Pecco Bagnaia when he is speaking 🔊you can see it 👀.

      I agree. It's definitely a tough decision for Ducati. Marquez is a big name that is good for Marketing even if Marquez wont win a race. While Martin is fast and young. In my opinion, Ducati made the right choice but they handle it really bad. Making everyone wait, then saying its Martin, then change at the last minute. I would be pissed like Martin too.
