Wolf cut is usually midlength with lots of layers. The top part is supposed to be fluffy and messy looking, while at the end of the hair is supposed to be less voluminous.
With that being said girl @8:50 and @10:29 are the closest that got to the wolf cut. They only needed a little bit more layers on the top part and more styling to make it fully and messy looking. Hope that helps! You can always look it up online (:

You just have to style it/curl it. I have thin&straight hair and my mom warned me about it. I still got it (not sure if it is a wolf cut. The stylist said it is a shag cut) and love it. You just have to style it. I had long layered hair before and this cut is just more layers and shorter. Still a huge difference from my plain hair style befote. And bc I have those factors it forces me to style it.
That's coz you can't hide the shocking mistakes you make with straight thin hair.. wavy thick hair can hide a multitude of sins

only some of these are wolf-cuts, most of these are jsut layered hair cuts, wolf-cuts are usually shoulder length or above, have way more layers and are curled/bumped to look fluffier.
also if anyone is planning to get this cut, just layered or the wolf-cut please remember that it’ll be flat if you don’t style it!
also if you don’t get it done professionally or do it yourself, pull the ponytails in front of your face so you can see where to cut and it’ll be less wonky than if you did it over your head like most people are doing it.
(also for people with curly hair!)
however thick your hair is or your hair texture in general will determine what it looks like.
i have thick curly hair so straightening my wolf cut is a pain lmao but since it’s thick, it gives the illusion it’s fluffy so i don’t need to do too much to it, i usually just bump/curl the bangs and the back.
there’s lots of videos on how to treat and style your hair w this style so if you’re ever thinking about it look at some of those first since it can be a hard hairstyle to maintain!
also please stop cutting your hair with household/kitchen scissors😭

@@rorococo. Curtain bangs only pertain to the hair in the front of your head that frames your face. If you were to ask for curtain bangs, the hairstylist would only cut the hair that frames your face while wolfcuts require cutting all parts of your hair. Either way, most of the tiktoks in this video aren’t actual wolfcuts and therefore aren’t an accurate depiction of wolfcuts. ☺️

Shag, layered hair and mullets ≠ wolf cut
(When asking for a wolf cut make sure your talking about an actual wolf cut and not a shag or layered hair or a mullet because you will most likely not get what you want. People at school sometimes ask me to cut their hair and leaves without paying me when I give them a wolf cut instead of a shag or layers or mullet and it’s extremely annoying)
Difference:
Shag - messy layers and very shaggy and slowly goes short at the front and long at the back
Layers - normal layers
Wolf cut - kinda looks like a jelly fish lol and very short at the front and very long at the back (basically a mix of a shag and a mullet or in other words a longer mullet)
Mullet: very short on the sides (most likely shaved sides) and long at the back with how ever long bangs you want
Hopes this helps and just in case just show your barber a picture of what you want instead because these 4 gets mistaken as each other a lot

The funniest part for me is that i had this exact hair cut in the 2010s and now its sundenly Wolfcut for gen Z 😂😂 i'll tell get out of this hairstyle is fricking hell. The layers never Go away no matter How much you try to "grow It out" so you can cut them of. Thats why im a bit traumatized and have only had no kind of layers for the past years. For an actual wolfcut i would go to an experienced hair salon, got mine for 50€ a bit expensive but it looks amazing. She cut it shoulder lenght and i have alot of thick hair so it looks really voluminous! :D

My sister tried this and i had to fix her hair for her XD It had a lot of uneveness that is pretty obvious from the back. My sister had shorter shoulder-length hair so it looked a lot more like a wolf cut than most of the girls in this video cuz almost all of their hair were long, so it just ended up looking like a normal layered cut.
My hair already follows the flow of wolf cuts so styling isn’t much of a problem. Also, I’m shit at styling hair so I’m glad my wavy hair helped a lot

Edit: So I got it...... AND I LOVE IT!!! I thought my hair would be too thin or fine for it and that my face would be too round, but it is so perfect. My hair fluffs up naturally and has so much more volume now that it is short, and the hair really frames my face. If you want a wolf cut, do it!!! Even if you think you have thin hair, fine hair or a round face. This haircut never looks bad no matter what I do with it (even when not styled)
@@Shikiyodo I got it at a salon but I’ve done some touch ups myself since then because my hair grows really really fast and went from above my shoulders to almost mid back in literally 2.5 months. It’s really easy and honestly the thing I love about this haircut, is that it doesn’t matter how “messy” it looks. When I just randomly cut layers, it looks amazing because the haircut can literally not look bad hahah. I’m sure it will suit you as well, I have never seen someone with a shag/wolf cut that haven’t looked phenomenal

Get it straightened from a salon. Most curly/wavy hair gets frizzy because of wrong hair products. If you use proper products for your hair type, your hair will start to look like it should.
Take it from a straight-ish hair gal, it's not all smooth and shiny😞❤️
