Quan is going to be slot/buffalo to replace Reaves, Forbes was taken because Fuller is the only CB on the roster who has put up NFL level coverage numbers. BSJ had some moments last year but his metrics are abysmal. Forbes is a pure outside guy, BSJ is a pure outside guy, Fuller is flexible, Quan is an inside guy. If they cut Fuller they have exactly two outside NFL corners on the roster and one will be a rookie.
I see what they are doing. They are addressing the wide receiver talent within the division. The Eagles and Cowboys in particular have good WR rooms. So they clearly believe the weakest part of the defense was the Secondary and the game film must have shown that. I also believe they think they have as of early free agency addressed the oline. This assumes that part of the oline's performance last season was not only because of their own struggles but QB play.
DBs aren't aggressive enough when the ball is in the air and it's been that way since Breeland was here that's why we're always at the bottom when it comes to turnovers because our DBs play too soft
