I’ve been re-watching WCW Saturday night 1992-1994 recently and Mick was featured a lot as both wrestler and manager which was great to see. I felt Mick was really great as the sadistic Cactus Jack through this period even though WCW never saw Mick as being a top guy he always got great crowd reactions and got the top guys over and made them look like a million bucks with he’s reckless abandon while taking those crazy bump’s. Mick Foley is definitely in my top 5 list of favourite wrestler’s all time.
It shows how talented he is because he was so believable as that maniac. Never in a million years would I have guessed Cactus Jack was this intelligent, kind hearted, well spoken guy. He was really great in WCW.
@@benwestover2430 agreed Mick Foley is just an all around good guy who put he’s body on the line for the business he loved all he’s life. That’s why for me even though he wasn’t a body guy in a federation that was all about it he was still a major draw and loved by all and won a couple championships which were well deserved, he will always be a favourite of mine from death match to WCW Saturday night he did it all dropping elbows of the apron to the floor usually to he’s tag team partner 😃.
Sting was ALWAYS the guy in WCW. I know Flair was behind the scenes but for us kids, "The Man They Call Sting" was the coolest guy on the planet! 🇺🇸🤙 and my sisters had a huge crush on him😅
I've always hated the term jobber myself, I prefer the term professional wrestler. Kooky huh. But as someone who had the honor of working with Mick several times it was always fun and easy just like it's supposed to be. And because Mick was kind of skirting the issue I'll for say it for him, Buzz Sawyer was one of the biggest jerks to ever walk the earth..
He mentions Cornette who isn't shy about burying Buzz, he was a good wrestler in his day that drew money in Georgia, but yeah he definitely fit the outlaw wrestler stereotype.
I've had the chance to meet Luger recently in Columbus, Ohio. He was absolutely amazing. Part of me wishes I had gotten a picture or autograph from him, but I was a little tight on funds that day.
I'm pretty sure Mick is mixing up Greensboro and Raleigh with the hockey floor thing. Dorton Arena in Raleigh had ice for our minor league hockey team, and I'm pretty sure Greensboro never had ice. Small detail, and despite the chair shots he remembers a hell of a lot more than he's forgot 😂
Conrad simultaneously makes podcasts better and so much worse. I can only take so much of his desperate panhandling before I completely abandon the show.
Save with Conradison and don’t forget people with credit scores in the 500’s can apply LOL every podcast I pretty much know all he’s long commercials by heart.
Not necessarily. Religion itself does not make you a better person. It can, but it doesn’t by default. Every president in US history has been a Christian and every president for at least the last 100 years by definition has been a mass murderer. That’s not an opinion. That’s a statistical fact.
@@christhornycroft3686 living by the Bible definitely makes you a better person. That's a statistical fact. The last 100 presidents have not been "mass murderers" either and they certainly weren't all Christians either. What about Trump though? Was he a mass murderer too? What mass of people did he kill?

"I hope my message is gentle." That got a HUGE belly laugh from me!! :D Mick is a study in contrasts, if nothing else!

Conman Thompson back at it

As a Southerner, I also give Mick permission to give us his best-worst southern accent.
Thank you mick
4:00 if you want to skip Conrad’s nonsense
God bless you

42:20 Pretty insightful stuff there. Etiquette classes?
Love F.I.P., but why does youtube always always send me here after listening to the only wrestling podcast NOT hosted by Conrad?
How about a Mick in Hollywood episode
29:00 classic
When I was a kid in the 90’s I call the Jobbers Low life’s. Don’t know why but I did for yrs
micks a legend
ima be saying phantom balls far to often now
How is Conrad the co host of every wrestling podcast?
Drive. Work ethic. Gumption. 😂
3:46 starts
He is a Bloody Mic lol 😆
Cool topic
Neato
Did I miss what next weeks episode is covering, or…?
The rock and sock connection is next week
I'm seemingly alone in this, but I think Joey Styles is the greatest play by play man in history, politics aside.
That's a fair argument. His voice bugged me but aside from that I'm not sure anyone had the emotion he did
Foley- i was gonna be a priest l,1 sec later, tickle the phamtom bxll

Oh will you guys cut it out….who gives a fuck.
Eh, it’s not that much of a hassle to scrub past.
I'm just glad he's toned down his presentation inbetween the shilling. He was insufferable when he started with Bruce. Couldn't listen to it
Right! Like him pushing Athletic Greens.... Yeah I'm sure he is taking those while weighing over 400lbs.
Shane Douglas is one of only two people I just can't like in wrestling
Why are you mocking Mick for his Christian faith???
It's great and makes him an even better guy

Nobody mocked him.
