Going to pick up a 2019 206 Commander today at Fred Hall Boat Show. I'm EXCITED!!! Finally after 20 years of boating and messing around with used boats ( which are mostly headaches ) due to budgeting issues,,but now,,life's gotten a little better and luckier,,I'm able to Buy my first BRAND Spanking New Fishing Boat. YEEEHAAA!!
i had a very good friend who worked at sea fox 20 years ago .. she said the boats were so bad she would not get on one for anything .. she would make jokes about the company all the time .. this is a great video to show how the brand has improved ..after this video i would actually consider getting one . thanxs for the good video
i bought a brand new 2019 sea fox 248 commander last year and have seen decade old sea foxes of similar size and they are vastly improved. I will say that they still are a bit budget quality, they are definitely not as polished as some other brands competing in the same price level, but that's just my opinion and i'm still extremely happy with my sea fox. Also they have been increasing their prices at a very rapid rate and noticed the 2020 models are jumping in price by quite a bit. I'd recommend looking at leftovers or checking out some other brands like Tidewater, Robalo or Sportsman.
The only ones saying they are good boats are either the ones selling them or who currently own them. I was on a brand new 2018 Commander 288. The quality was very poor. Rubber Caulking was already falling apart, everything rattled, and the ride was atrocious. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig at the end of the day. And yes, I have been on several Seafox’s from old to new and they are all junk.
@@jeffm8882 I would say the actual owners would be the best reviewers. Sounds like Jeff has an axe to grind. He doesn't own one so I guess he is just out trolling in the comment sections.
Where was the video on the 228 ? How was the ride ? I hear they beat you up in any chop. Was that your experience ? How about overall fit and finish ? CCO, would you buy one ?
I’m looking to see how seafox compares themselves to Cobia especially with the improvements with the hauls. I’m looking to make a decision between the 328 seafox and the 320 Cobia.
Pretty big difference in quality and construction. One is a subpar manufacturer and the other a much higher level of craftsmanship. With one you’ll lose about 20-30% upon purchase and the other only about 5-10%. The first is a very hard and uncomfortable ride with very light and cheap quality materials and the other a much better build. Your choose.
Its a vacuum sealed livewell so yes you would have to open all the turn handles. Word of advice, dont buy a sea fox unless its going to sit on the lift and never go offshore. I worked for a sea fox dealer from 2016-2019. They absolutely blow, 100% of the time we had to fix issues with the boats straight from the factory, they use cheap stainless, they ship the boats out with caulk dried all over the floors. Yes these boats are a screaming deal for the size and market. Its not worth it, go look at another brand like tidewater or sea hunt for a more reliable boat at the price point
What happened to inside the helm?? No pics?? Sea fox was originally called Legacy boats, than sea era than finally the name Sea fox was born. The two brothers that started the company were the sons of the original owner of Renken boats. I had a 1993 17’ Renken Sea master and when the sons basically took over the company a lot of the old molds were used for the first generation of sea era boats.

Stop play music in the background,it takes away from the reviews. I want to hear the boat not the music.

Just ordered at Sea Hunt BX22BR with the 250 Yamaha. Can't wait till end of April

They have definitely come a long way.

@@jeffm8882 you maybe hurt still with the whole Ox BS, SF is killing it, this newer models are the best out there.
Any advice on someone who's very interested in buying one of these ? Yay or nay
Nobody noticed 5 latches for the aft Livewell lid lol need octopus arms
One question on the large live well cover, with all of those handles, do you need to open all of them to get that lid up?

So no interior? Would have liked to see the head and what storage there was down below
Pete Adams hi Pete! If you go onto our website seafoxboats.com and click on the 288 model page we have pics of the head area and storage.
Looks nice but they are close to 200k for 28ft boat lot of other options in that price range
I did not know there’s still a economical boat made today

where was the 228?
Nice ride
Nice boat but I don’t like the stainless around tuna door. Not easy on the toes and shins. I know from experience
I love sea fox boats. I’ll own one hopefully not so far in the future
Don’t waste your money. You’ll lose money upon purchase instantly.
@@jeffm8882 you probably not even have a boat...
All that runs the cost up too.
to much space in the front but very little in the back, for a 28' i see the back kind of small....
esteban lopez I was thinking the same exact thing. Looks a little tight for fishing off the back for this size boat
Couldn't finish the review, the f-in rave music was giving me a headache
Boat list to 1 ,,, side looks horrible
Started watching this music made me stop
