After test drove model 3 and their power delivery, i can say in terms of ride & handling model 3 still one to beat
BYD can beat Tesla in terms of ride, handling but they must set the suspension as stiff as Tesla which many passengers didn't like
I want a car which serves my needs and wants, not one which I need to adjust so that I can be Elon. I'm proud to be what I'm with confidence!
But the problem is that Tesla is not as reliable as BYD. Reliability is most important. Even cost for BYD also cheaper to maintain than Tesla

Car makers dont have predetermined margin for their cars. They can sell as cheap as they liked or as expensive as they liked.

I heard that the problem with buying these PRC EVs is they make the purchaser sign a side agreement. Side agreement says the warranty for the battery is void if you don't follow their "SOP" in charging. Meaning you cannot let the car drive to zero, or under 20%, and cannot charge the battery to 100% but to 90% to protect the battery. You can't lie to them as they can monitor your charging behavior online. Hummm...
