Door turns the light switch on and off when you open and shut it...
Genius level workmanship
For the 'house of surprises' (and unexpected shocks).
People pay top dollar in the states for jamb switches...
ste o, maybe reposition the switch on its side.lol.
Yeah, as long as it turns the light on when you enter and off when you leave. . . open door light comes on, go in, light goes off, manually turn light back on while in the room, then open door to leave light goes out, reach in and turn it back on so when you shut the door it goes off again. It's a bit of a retraining task for the family members but it could work, right?
That tap needs a priest not a plumber lmao 🤣
Brilliant 🤣🤣🤣
I work in construction and I can only say 'nothing' surprises me anymore! 🤣🥴🤣🥴
Looks like work from any of the many New- build house buildings companies.
Definitely tap is on full and being turned on and off by someone with the water valve at the same time lol
Tap could be manually on but have a solenoid linked to light switch inline?
Bad earth to water pump and tap is open?
The blubber rubber flubber must be loose
Sounds like it's on a pump. Perhaps the customer didn't like to pay.
Too right you know it so do I . 42 years a plumber and this is just an idiot trying to get his vid liked. It cannot happen
Been in building 42 years. The standards are falling badly !
the crack is good though!
Cheap labour from the 3rd world. What excatly did you expect?
Fairly certain that you have also voted for the SDP/labour, so. Your own handiwork in the end.
We had a guy come and help us tart up a pub once. We got him on the painting. He got to the fire place and cut in around a stack of logs for the open fire 🤯
Pretty sure Sparkies get the most pay out of all these trades
This video can be summed up in one word - Integrity. Without it the construction industry would fail.
My landlord uses guys like these, the cheapest quote gets the job. On one the 'roofer' was collecting pieces of broken tile from the weeds around the property, and sticking them back in place with sand and cement, and this was supposed to be a refurbished roof. Luckily I didn't live there.
Was probably my old man 🤣
@JCBAirmaster73 Haha, That's a classic.
I looked a job last week, pair of 6'x6' gates, six months old, oak framed, V T and G, upwards of £2,000 just for the gates, dragging on the drive, and the lock didn't work anymore, it was fine when they were first put in, honest! could I do anything? As the contractor who had undercut me initially on hanging the gates, and erecting the surrounding fence, had hung the gates with the bracing the wrong way round, no there wasn't. Haha.
This recession that's coming is going to lead to loads more crap jobs as morons get a van and start undertaking small projects, and people get taken in by the prices.
That socket screwed directly onto the wall is the highlight, i mean who In the right mind would think that's okay?!
A looney!!
Yeah talk about surface mounted! Lmao but fr that’s gotta be a home owners DIY..
2:44 see those loops of cable at each end of the cradle? The sparky left those there so these guys could unfasten and lower the cradle to get their gear out.
Don’t let that spoil a good story
Almost everyone who is watching or has watched this video, is either laughing their asses off or cringing in their seats, or both XD
And my girlfriend wonders why I don't trust tradesmen and want to do it myself!
Yea I seriously doubt a real tradesman did any of these things. Looks like homeowner and laborer work.
All these life hacks are amazing thanks
Still better than my DIY stuff I do around the house
Today I learned that one of our building we Maintenance water faucet turns on when you flush the toilet 🚻🤣 it was right after I watched this video.great footage! Thank youu
Love these vids 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought i was going to have a heart attack looking at all this bodged work. The mind boggles!!
Think they got nasty and sharp when requesting their (fiddle me ree) fee ¿?
I mean, there are moments when I do go like "Its not my job", but that's only when there is nothing I can do and I've tried everything. Even then, talk to the ppl in charge
Reminds me of the first flatshare I lived in when I moved to London. The landlord created two rooms by putting a partition wall up the middle of a sash window, so at any time of the day or night you could find said window opening or closing unexpectedly.
😂😂😂😂
02:35 "He's actually pacifically..." >.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 where’s Dominic littlewood when you need him 😤🤭
First video, Energy saving tap, You’re welcome 😇
My buddys first house what a lemon. 14 pot lights around the living room with an individual switch for each one WTF. Later in the summer hear the electrical breaker shaking like crazy find the main live connection was loose. This happened in Canada.
"14 pot lights all with an individual switch" what the fuckkkkk did he have 14 light switches on the wall? 🤣🤣
And this is why all new builds immediately collapse upon completion
They wired the shower pump into the lighting circuit 😂
If you're referring to the beginning clip... Watch closely. There's a little delay between flipping the switch and the water turning on. And a much longer delay in it stopping, and it doesn't just stop. It turns most the way off, trickling a bit, then all the way off. Someone is underneath the sink in the cupboard turning the valve.
@Albatros Gaming a shower pump can be fitted to the hot water outlet so that it boosts all hot water pressure throughout the house. It’s a hoax, someone’s just turning on/off the mains water supply from outside
I didn't know flatearthers were working in construction.
In the end you have to keep a close tab on contractors at all times. What happened to me recently is that some sewage element broke from the growth of a treeroot underneath my house in Texas. The whole flooring had to be replaced. Lucky I had insurance. When the contractors closed the wall, they forgot to put in the insulation. I noticed just in time and they had to open it again. In addition they had not properly reconnected the water supply to the fridge so two weeks later the flooring in the kitchen was destroyed and had to be replaced a second time. Finally it took them more than a month to come and reconnect washer and dryer.
Looks like England is full of some fine construction workers.
Perfect design, never forget to turn your lights off again..
Pretty confident that I could build a house now 😂
2:43 did the electrician leave it like that so they could loosen/lower it and get their boards out easily?
That Masonry Brick Work WOW, you could climb that wall with slippery boxing gloves on. 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
4:55 that drainage pipe 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That wasn't a dust sheet ,that was a magic carpet lol
Iv been a builder for a long time and worked on sites and ran my own jobs eventually. And Iv seen some stuff but some of these makes me piss it’s just the tradesman getting in and trying to get it done as fast as they can 😂 not good for everyone else tho 😂 great video
Bodget and leg it classics here folks?
maybe some1 made that door to turn the light on a off ,as you enter a leave lol
the architect is fuming
The duck tape in the poly tunnel is what you are supposed to do, it covers/pads the sharp edges of the bolt (yes it's bolted) and bracket to stop the film tearing. If you buy a similar poly tunnel it'll even come with the kit!
u really typed duck ?
@@girlsdrinkfeck as in brand not the actual type of tape ie duct
@@jamestheferret but why assume the brand ? could be gorilla tape
@@girlsdrinkfeck I haven't assumed anything, I know the person in the video and after calling them (to put your worried mind at ease) I can confirm that it was duck brand duct tape
Yeeee hawwww
4:12 duct tape keeps the hardware from tearing the plastic while your putting it on 200 IQ
We have "Not My Job" people here in America too. lol
Literally there must be someone under that kitchen unit on the first clip
Has to be, there’s no damn way
Yep probably solenoid valve on the water
James Parker naw it’d would effect more than just the kitchen sink and do you have any idea how much of a pain it’d be to wire every switch in the house to one pump, kind of hard to do on accident.
😂😂😂 luv it
Their is alot of handymen out there claiming to be tradesmen 🤦♂️ but then again some tradesmen are rough as 🙄🔨
It's a world full of chancers and skankers....... The only way to hurt them is 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
First fit joiners.........ooft 🧐😬
the uk is obsessed with standards. if you live and work in a few different countries mate youll find that not all of them are hung up on being the best in the world. most folk dont care as long as the job is done and it works. meanwhile back in old blighty you cant get from breakfast to lunchtime without breaking some sort of rule..... its fucked in this country mate.
@@nobbystyles4807 standards are a good thing...
@@bazwax77
I'm a Chippie myself so I never understood how you can be a first fix only or a second fix only or I can't put a roof on or I don't do kitchen that's what your trained for 🔨
3.59.....YES!!!! Brilliant. What a job. 👍
Sometimes I wonder is eugenics the only way forward for humanity.
so this is how haunted houses happen
This is England!
But I'm not surprised!
Is that a poor mans pir light switch 🤣
Now I see why in the USA you need a trade license. Which requires thousands of hours of field work and hundreds of classes before you can take the exam to get your license 🤣
Hundreds of classes lol, yea right their are states where you don’t even need a license. Btw in case you didn’t notice the accents I don’t think these guys are from America.
@@yoshi450gmail thank goodness for USA!
Really doesn’t matter anyways imo because most hacks aren’t gonna have a license anyways and will still get plenty of work from cheap bastards everywhere. Licenses are for liability not to prove you know your stuff although it helps to inspire some confidence in your builder and holds them accountable if they botch your job. Of course they’d have to have a bond to back that up
7:05 mastic fantastic! Covers a world of sins loooool
Cowboys 💯🤣🤣🤣🤣
That water issue solved... The sink has one valve open as a drain for plumbing maintenance somewhere in that building , the washing machine is set to fill with warm water so both 120V water solenoids should be open but not open because the neutral connection to the building main power is disconnected so 120 volt devices in that building will only operate when switched to series with another 120V device . Washing machine is on but waiting for lighting somewhere to provide series power. Then hot and cold solenoid valves open letting backflow to the sink taps . Where are all the good troubleshooters gone ? Need to re-crimp the neutral at the pole , check and repair system ground at panel , complete the plumbing repairs , turn back on whichever water was off , hot or cold water , then restart the washing machine if it has a load of laundry in it .
As a scaffolder I would myself I would strip the rest of the job and leave the boards
4:00 ….lets just smash my new glass oven door
If you didn't laugh you would cry.
7:45 those lights are adjustable
Hung cable basket upside down, 🙈😂
"That'll be £999.99 please"
Today's lesson in how f***** up is f***** up🤪
This is what happens when you don't research your builder or you get the cheapest contractor you can finding because you're a tight ass McScrooge
Tell you what the electricians bright Sparks ok plumbers builders printers yous are all on the list hole Holy💩
Where can we submit videos?
What happens when by u turn all the lights on
The painter on the ladder takes some beating he’s obviously got shit hot life insurance 🥴
0:00 ah it's the new tapper. ~Tap on tap off~ . Forget clapping or snapping, we have buttons and their made for tapping your taps! ~tap on tap off~. The tapper, only 3 payments of whatever is required to rewire your entire light and electrical.
😱 poltergeist !!!!!
Live and work in Central London and i have seen worse work that has been OKed by the landlord or agents. Its actually getting really bad
That's to get rid of any spiders in the sink before you go over
As a carpenter many of those videos physically hurt.
As a carpenter who moved from nor cal to southern Arizona near the border I’m starting to get over being surprised at these types of things :(
Most of these issues are caused by corporate crapitalism. You pay people a mediocre or fixed wage to do a certain number of very specific tasks and naturally they don't really feel invested in or care about the rest of the project - probably don't even know any of the other piece workers on the job. The rot starts at the top.
The fence looked shit it’s probably a DIY job by the owner and he saved himself a small fortune
Great videos . Laughing like a loon..!
8:39 apart from the useless doorstop that's a lovely mitre!
Plumbing dont relate to electrical right? That shouldnt work
Painter: "So will the rooms be empty and ready for me to paint?"
Site Agent: "Yes."
Painter sees site sign on the wall.
Painter: >:(
I would not clear the site after other trades, just to be able to paint the walls.
I'll spray or roll around them in the same way as in this video.
It's really fuckin not my job to move stuff from the rooms.
I don't get paid for that.
@@antallaczko8793 I couldn't take it as your work pair.
Just finished painting some staircases. I spend most of my breaks (including lunch) applying joint mass (and painting them over) to the old, cracked cover strip seams on the windows and appartment doors.
No. Didn't get paid for that. Wasn't in the contract.
Got thankyous & compliments from the residents, the owner, the inspector and the boss. And the mailman.
No my yob, Mon.
Bloody sparkies, they think they are above everyone
Definitely someone under sink turning it on and off by valve.
It's more likely someone who is out of view next to the stop tap opening and closing it as he switches the lights on.
Wish i'd took pictures of some of the holes in the plasterboard from the electrician i got in. Had to use filler to fix but obvously never as good as the plasterboard. You get what you pay for...
1:14
“So are you sure you want me to install the floor around this?”
“Yes I am leaving that there/I’ll fix it”
“Ok we will have to cut around this”
“Yes thats good sir”.
But between the ugly dirty floor and baseboard I’d say he didn’t lose much. You could buy really thick board to cover it but it’s more worth it to not buy itchy gross carpets
Cowboy central
I like how all of these come from the UK
Where else would these come from? They work in the UK
@@CeleWolf None of the videos of these mistakes and bad designs come from outside the uk. That's my point.

Obviously they wired the lights into the plumbing.
And how would you do that without getting electrocuted?? First one is a practical joke. One guy is hiding and turning on and off ofcourse...😏
@@ZerokillerOppel1 1 you wouldnt as plumbing has bonded earth and 2 it was a joke.
@@ZerokillerOppel1 R/whoosh
First part with the sink tap, I’d say someone was hiding in the cupboard with a flat head, turning the iso valves on and off, they’re screw taps so how on earth would turning on a light switch, have the ability to turn a tap handle 360 degrees or lift a lever tap? Anyone🤷🏽♂️
I had a sparky make my life unnecessarily hard so I returned the favour by placing a couple of wires in the plasterboard. You should have seen him scratching his head wondering why it wasn't working?? He even wired them to a socket!? 😂😂😂 Karma!👍
06:17 look what they using to paint that, gunna take them weeks
Normal work by builders nothing out the ordinary here...!!
If its real, its got to be a electric pump wired wrong or just a bad ass way to show off the latest tech, you've just invented, magic taps!
Okay, some of the stuff in the videos is just horrifying! But when you go for the cheapest guys around and can't even bother to get the stuff clear/ready for them even if the owner has clean it up beforehand. The cheap guys just wanna go in and out asap since they themselves know that they are charging cheap. And one has to expect that. There are some obviously who charge cheap and do a great job. Kudos to them.
I cause most of these issues especially on a Friday 🤣
How to fuck have they managed that with the light switch and tap 🤣 I'm confused
What’s wrong with the gaffer tape?
So everyone just going to ignore all them cannabis plants out the window at 11:35 ?
The ones with the stuff in the way while they where doing the first spray and paint isn't all that bad considering they know they have to come back and actually finish the paint and touch everything up later.
So fuckin true
Rouge traders would have a field day.
Are they the gay investigators ?
ROUGE?
heh heh heh.
@@mossadon if by gay you mean happiness, then no, they're not. They investigate homosexual tradespeople posing as straight people under the trades description act of 1547AD

A long time ago maybe pal. If you've only experienced scaffs in the construction environment you could be excused for having that opinion as it only takes one decent guy in a squad to operate. But in heavy industry like shipbuilding, offshore, powerstations etc its a completely different ballgame.
These videos are funny as fuck
I love your vids but you guys need to learn to hold your cameras horizontally for filming and not vertically so we can see more of the area, thanks guys.
