      thanks for making this video per request. With each video, I learn how to be raw more. I forage off trees and any edible weeds that come in. Do you plan to rewild? I could your garden as rewilding in a way - a previously desolate landscape. I even have been collecting my own rainwater to do laundry with. Do you collect rainwater? These insights were because your channel pushes me to keep thinking how to be raw vegan wherever possible. One of the issues is that I don't have a kitchen. I have a plant sanctuary. Do you provide a sanctuary for plants being thrown away? I've seen sauce stache do so for a cactus. I've rescued a few cacti from the waste bin too.

    • @extropiantranshuman
      @extropiantranshuman 7 місяців тому

      I have some new video ideas:
      1) how to eat from the garden directly without a kitchen. I always didn't see a point in having a kitchen - because you can just pick and eat. I don't have a kitchen actually. I call my plant sanctuary an outdoor kitchen garden lol. I was thinking about garden design - and maybe you can explain how to arrange a garden to be a shopping or ingredients list so you can go around the garden picking until you have it all.
      2) which foods did you not expect to be raw, but were? What's some raw foods that people overlook when they should have it? Also, what people don't think are raw but are?

    • @extropiantranshuman
      @extropiantranshuman 7 місяців тому

      0:45 just sharing my video ideas - you don't have to do them, no need to burden - just alleviate. I think sharing what you got out of raw veganism outside of the expected benefits, like health, that really grew your life in a way that wasn't in your regular life - from socialization, personal growth, etc. I know your channel is all about that with sharing the journey, but like a book - sometimes a dedicated video really points it out and organizes it for everyone.

      Scientists came up with it. It's super important to know for many reasons, especially medically. For instance if you are at rest 100% of the day you will still burn a certain amount of calories. So say you are unable to eat, a doctor would have to know how much to give in an IV to keep your organs functioning. Just one example.

      actually I was telling her about that too! Good idea - I actually get clothes from neighbors before it goes to the donation center - and do it to help out them not have to carry it everywhere. I do the work for them, and in turn I get free clothes. Plus it keeps the donation centers from overloading. Neat right? Maybe she can suggest how to find free clothes that're going to the donation center.

    6:35 I saw the store - it's a great start and really helpful in terms of what's needed and what will help. I am just hoping one day all the products will sell and ship directly from your site, so people aren't directed to a non-vegan platform like amazon, but honestly it's baby steps - one at a time, and the more we create towards veganism, the better. Everything's a starting point, so it's ok if it's not perfect - everything grows in time towards veganism - so I celebrate the steps and look forward to more.

    You mentioned that we must have fruit in a raw diet. At present I have Crohns disease and used to have alot of fruit however now my stomach cannot tolerate fruit, i want to go raw to prove my health. What advice can you give to someone who won't be able to tolerate fruit at the start to insure I get the calerie intake correct? I hoping once my health improves I can go back to eating fruit.

    • @LorraFae

      the only other way to get higher calories without fruit is nuts and seeds. So you'd basically be doing a raw keto diet, and this does work for some people. You could also do a high-raw diet and get calories from starchy vegetables.

      I lived in Houston, Texas for most of my raw vegan journey. I've only lived in Hawaii these past recent years. My time in Houston was one of the most powerful and transformational times in my life, and it's when I healed my diabetes. You don't have to live in a tropical climate to eat raw. I have friends all over and even friends in COLD Chicago who are thriving on raw. And protein is easy when you're getting in enough calories and finding your right balance. Hope this helps. 🙏

      I ate raw vegan when I lived in Alaska. The local grocery store and health food store had everything I needed.
