Yet people bitch about it cause they want to turn it political. I’ll never understand they’re hate towards cordless. I mean all the hand tools we use are cordless as well. And the tech is just gonna get better as the years pass.
We picked up the 24 inch version, put my 10 yr old Ariens compact to shame, the torque is amazing for the big 20+" piles ate the end of our driveway! Love it!
I picked up seven new e26 Toro Snow Blowers without the batteries for only $700 from a freight liquidator in Savannah, Georgia. Since snow blowers are useless here, I got this super deal. The inventory was at a Home Depot, and all the batteries somehow became missing??? (You can only sell them with batteries!) Unfortunately, shipping these 175-lb machines is so expensive, and the batteries are costly, so the only thing I can do for a profit is sell the parts on eBay. The DC motor would make a damn cool motor for a motorbike or buggy! I bet it will go 40+ MPH! If you need e26 parts, I got them!
I'm surprised that you purchased another snowblower so soon. I've been toying around with replacing my old Troy Bilt 10 horse with something a little more manageable. The Troy Bilt served me well for 25+ years but is very heavy. And since I purchased the Troy Bilt we moved to a home with a smaller driveway (but very steep). Thanks for demoing the Toro for me.
Actually - Toro is one of our channel sponsors. So they sent us the new 60V snow blower to use and test out on the channel. I'll be doing a comparison video between the gas and the electric versions of the Power Max in the future.
Not sure if I am ready for a battery snow blower yet, but I did just by a small battery push mower for my wife, she has not used it yet, (we still have snow) but she is really glad I was thoughtful enough to get it for her for Valentines Day :)
Just used my toro for the first time this morning really love it I am up in Coeur d Alene Idaho I only received one battery and one charger I bought mine from ace hardware and cannot seem to find one with them for a extra battery do you have any recommendations were to get an extra battery and charger thank you
Our local Home Depot carries the batteries and chargers. And the Toro dealership near us (also a John Deere and Stihl dealer) has the batteries in stock.
I really want to buy one of these, but where I live in Canada we get a lot of snow (10 feet so far this year), so not sure if it can throw the wet heavy snow high enough onto the enormous snow banks we get.
@@skipperbill84 Geez, you guys need huge loaders over there. We used to get a lot of snow here in Kirkland Lake Ontario. Last year on my camper there was nearly six feet, but this year only 3 and a half.
That's a great question. We didn't get that much snow last winter, so I haven't had a chance to test it out in deep snow. But I would think if you let 3-4 feet of snow build up, any snowblower would have a difficult time.
@@hernandayolearyalldait cuts through anything. If the snow is 2+ feet and frozen over the only thing holding it back is traction. Could put weights on the front Battery will drain quite faster if the snow is extreme. Takes a lot of energy to throw heavy snow.

In any average snow you're lucky to get out of this 5 cars, including small patio in the back and a front walkway THAT'S ALL YOU'RE GOING TO GET PEOPLE!! The chargers they gave you are a joke they take three and a half hours I had to buy the expensive rapid chargers that take about 1 hour I do understand it's battery powered and it wears out a lot quicker so if you have tons of driveways lot of things to snowblow get the gas powered version!! If you have a small property like mine it's awesome. If you want to go this way and you have a lot of property you'll need to spend AT LEAST $3,000 TO GET ENOUGH BATTERIES TO KEEP UP WITH A GAS POWER!! THIS IS A FACT NOT AN OPINION FOLKS!!
@@PurpleCollarLife battery powered things are battery powered things as of right now there is no two-stage snowblower that can do anything close to that running on batteries. That much power it's going to be the same no matter what you buy but Toros version is like their gas version it's like a brick crap house. That's why I liked it better than the other ones. Because it's mostly just replacing the motor from gas to electric. The other ones like greenworks and all the others use a lot of electronics inside making it all electronic which cuz I'm an engineer I know that electronics outside over time is a bad idea capacitors, resistors a lot of things break easily. So I like the way Toro did everything with theirs very smart especially for longevity.
Amazing how far they've came with battery technology! Nice Tool!
I agree. Even 5 years ago I wouldn't have imagined I'd be trying an electric snow blower. And a TWO STAGE at that!!

Finally nature delivers! 🌨🌨🌨 Nice demonstration! It seems to perform very well! 👍👍 Thanks for sharing Chad!
Thanks 👍. It certainly does better than I would have expected.

Isn't it crazy how powerful these machines can be?!
@@PurpleCollarLife the torque is a beautiful thing, in a machine that's lighter than the previous.

What a great Valentine's present! :) I am really impressed with what two 60-volt batteries can do!
Good video and have a good day
Thanks, you too!
Nice blower, that snow looks damp and heavy and it still did a good job.
It was some heavy packing snow. The blower did a nice job. I wish we had more snow to test it some more. That snow all melted today already.

4 inches of snow. Performance was better than shovel.
Thank you for watching. Yes - definitely beats a shovel.
Lol, I wonder why Home Depot and Ace Hardware stopped selling this Toro 2-stage electric snowblower.
Hi there if I bought a toro self propelled lawnmower with lithium ion battery can I use it in the snowblower as a third battery
As long as it's the same 60V battery - it should be perfect to use as your 3rd battery.

That would certainly be a test! It throws pretty good. Not quite as far as our gas powered version.
Wow where do you live in Canada to get 10 feet of snow?

Hey Purple Collar Life - do you think a small woman (5' 1", < 100 lbs) could handle this snow blower?
I believe so. You could always go to the local store and test one in the store by moving it around without it running.
