Bobby Caldwell was born in Manhattan, but grew up in Miami, Florida. His mother sold real estate and one of her clients was reggae singer Bob Marley; Caldwell and Marley became friends. Growing up in Miami exposed Caldwell to a variety of music such as Haitian, Latin, reggae, and R&B. His parents hosted a local variety television show called Suppertime. He grew up listening to the music of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. When he was 12, Caldwell started playing piano and guitar. He was drawn to rock and roll, jazz, and rhythm and blues.
I was a young wife with a new baby home in my living room taking care of my son and my home while cooking for when my husband came home , I was enamored by this song , I always put music on while cooking , picked up the baby from his walker got my High Heel shoes on and danced with my baby Son , just one of those brief moments in life where the universe and me had a meeting of the minds , Magical 💕💕 one of my favorite songs , still love it ..

I loved him so much as well but we needed time apart, we weren’t in a healthy place he sent this to me just two weeks before he passed away which was only 3 weeks ago today and now we will never have that chance to work at it but at least I know our love was not over when he went away!
