Later we had a tape version then a CD. I was the young 32yo widowed mother of an 8 yr old girl when we met....she became a professional military pilot due to HIS encouragement and support. We would lie together and dream of what our lives would be, make our plans, never sure we could make them come true...We had BIG dreams...we dreamt of sailing the Caribbean in our own boat once my daughter was grown. We had both been avid sailors since childhood. I was a college professor, he was a builder developer...bankrupt with a failed marriage...she walked out when he lost his money...lucky ME. I met him the night his divorce was final...we were just MEANT for each other. He taught me investing we saved and invested and we made it to ❤50 and 55 and we were ready to sail away ...my daughter in the Coast Guard, enough money to buy the boat and live on hopefully for the rest of our lives...it was 1997❤. It hadnt been easy ...we worked hard at it together. We sailed for 7 glorious yrs. The day came when we werent as fit to handle a 42 ft sailboat. We had already picked our forever place in the tropics. He built us a gorgeous comfortable home three stories with as much sq footage in outdoor covered terraces as inside...on all three levels for an outdoor lifestyle taking the place of living aboard a boat at sea. We were delirioisly happy there too. In fact, the last chapter was the sweetest, though ALL of it had been a dream come true, even the striving, working, and saving. We were a team. We entertained had many friends and I wasnt ready to give him up...I NEVER would have been ready, when he died in his sleep at ❤80 this past Sept of a heart attack. He didnt feel a thing. But I did...it was a huge huge shock to have him wrenched from me. I can never be the person I used to be again, but oh what a joyous life I had. I am dating a man 2 yrs older than he was and HE may not last long . He has COPD. No one ever takes the place of anyone else in ❤your life...each good person who enters your life is special and unique, but I of course cannot have 41 years of bliss again... I was so so lucky and we both knew it as that life unfolded...we were so grateful, both of us. This is the first time I have listened to this song since he passed away past September and it makes me SO grateful...all over again.

I played this song on the way back from karate practice. My mom passed when I was 4 in 2016. I looked over at my dad and I could see tears in his eyes as he was singing the song. This makes me realize how deep life is.
