No, I dump extra gems into the wish wheel when I can, it's a good source of red cans and artifacts so it's nice to be able to fully complete a treasure hunt every now and then

It's about 75k gems or so, but will vary depending on luck

None are really best, but take Raphael as a first, he's solid in pve and pvp.
