Instant subscribe. Best review so far for the pack, covering everything in depth. I love that you mentioned when looking at cas “would I download if it was custom content” and that’s it. I love how detailed you went into things. I like that you’re talking about the pack like you actually play for the game. Instead of just covering like you’re creating content for UA-cam. You’ve got me locked in especially as I play vanilla (I get overwhelmed with CC and mods folders) so this video was very helpful- you did even better than larger channels. And you’re British. C’mon luv! I’m Sold.
So far from other gameplay videos it’s does seem like it’s got an expansion pack worth of content. The only reason people say it isn’t is that every pack is overpriced.
I think it does feel like a full expansion pack in general! Sometimes there were things lacking that could've been deeper so I think it feels between a game pack and expansion at times. It really depends if you specifically like romantic aspects in your game, which I do so I was satisfied 😊
I personally disagree but perhaps it’s because I’m older and I remember what an expansion pack used to get you back in the day of Sims 1, 2 and 3. There’s a fair amount of CAS and Build/Buy stuff, but for me an expansion pack should also be about what new gameplay it brings (because you can get new CAS and BB stuff from stuff packs and kits). The gameplay here is severely lacking. It updates the dating system and that seems to be it. Every gameplay video I’ve watched has been the Simmer repeatedly using Cupid’s Corner and going on dates. I personally find it repetitive and boring. It’s fine if you don’t, but after ten years I find it difficult to engage with uninspiring gameplay any more.
@@HerHollyness Personally I see expansion packs like this 1 main gameplay feature (overhaul to the date system) 2 side features (cupids corner and the turn on/turn offs) 1 new world A fair bit of cas assets A fair bit of build buy assets. Maybe the reason it feels repetitive is that the side features tie in with the main feature and aren’t active things you think about Game packs have 1 main feature 1 side feature Sometimes a small world Quite a few cas assets Quite a few build assets Stuff packs have 1 main feature A few cas assets A few build/buy assets
@@Extinct-Lizard That’s nice that you see it that way. Personally, for $40 (or £35 in my case) I would prefer to see a lot more gameplay in an expansion pack. After all, that’s what expansions are meant to do, right? Give you more to play with? Compare this, for example, to the recent Elden Ring expansion Shadow of the Erdtree. With that expansion, gamers received 50+ hours of brand new gameplay, bosses and world to explore, all for the same price that Simmers regularly pay for expansions - $40. If you really think you’ll get 50+ hours of gameplay out of 1 mechanic - an updated dating system - then good for you. I certainly wouldn’t. I got bored just watching a few different Simmers do it over and over again. In the old days, say with Sims 2 for example, we actually got an expansion’s worth of gameplay in an expansion pack. The closest comparison to Lovestruck is Sims 2 Nightlife, which came with: - Chemistry and Attraction (Turn Ons/Turn Offs) - A new dating system - A new group outing system - A new world (Downtown) with 14 residential lots and 30 community lots - Vampires - Drivable cars - 2 new aspirations (Sims 2 only had 5 in base game - this made it 7) - Mrs Crumplebottom - A matchmaker who could set you up on blind dates (ie the old-fashioned version of online dating before such a thing existed) - Diagonal pools - Bowling alleys - Restaurants that you could have dates in - Nightclubs And so much more. If you compare that to ‘Lovestruck’, don’t you feel just a bit cheaped out on? Think about how many different packs you have to buy in The Sims 4 to get all those features, some of which still aren’t even available to this day. Like I said, to each their own, but knowing how much we should be getting in a $40 expansion pack, 1 gameplay feature is really not satisfactory for me personally.
@@HerHollyness one thing I’ll say about that is that it is an expansion worth of content by sims 4 standards which are ridiculously overpriced for what they are
I have watched a lot of Lovestruck content these past days and I love yours the most. Nobody else mentioned the inbalanced CAS for masculine sims (or just didn't notice the outfit category), I really appreciate you take the time to look at these things for us. Streaming until 5 in the morning is crazy girl! Just followed your twitch. Your sim was gorgeous! Will you put her in the gallery in cupid's corner?
I really appreciate such an in depth review. This pack has a $10 price increase in my country so I’m really tossing up if I want it or not and this has been helpful.
There’s an awful lot of CAS in this pack, but I agree with you that a lot of it is low res and are just plain tacky! There’s a ton of chairs, and bars, and doors… But we’re missing essential furniture for the bedroom and the living room and the kitchen… Like dressers and bookcases and tables and counters… I’m confused by the of the pack and I have a feeling the gameplay going to be terrifying💛💛💛
Unfortunately not! A sim from the Lopez household is dating a sim from the Dynamic Daters household (the 2 we saw in the trailer) but that's about it I believe.. Thank you so much 🥰
I know what looks wrong with the outfits (not the going out thing, but the Sims3 thing) so if you go to the base game shirts you'll realize there are 2 sleeveless pink tight shirts, one is high quality, and the other changes their skin texture slightly and it looks low quality. Quite possibly a glitch, or they wanted to make me cringe (I got uncomfortable looking at it). There are also some other outfits like this. And you don't seem to like bright colors (SAME) but did you know there's a color slider you can download, IDK if they made one for the LS expansion pack (they haven't even made Urban Homage) but it is AMAZING!! You should check it out
I only play it for 2 days and I don’t know how long before I get bored of it, but I really love this pack. I am having more fun this weekend than I did with for rent, horse ranch, and growing together first weekend. I think the love system change and turn ons will last forever but I’m not sure about the rest of it, but for now it’s very fun.
I personally can’t wait to download it and get to play with it. I know there is a stigma with how many packs could be consolidated together (I get it lol) , but this one seems like a well rounded pack. I am glad there is a lot of base game updates, especially with gender neutral terms. Thanks Jaz for the review!
Totally! I think the base game updates were overdue but very welcome, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get base game updates with things related to the packs every time there was a release. Enjoy!! 😉
I don't agree with color of shirts being a turn off or turn on. Seems childish imo but otherwise i think this is a decent pack. Maybe should have been a game pack but the new map is decently huge
Hey can someone answer me this. Will the pack in general have these new townies in the gallery to download? Or is tht only for CC, PC Mod players?? You know for the Cupid's Corner App?
The Cupid's corner app is a feature of Lovestruck, no CC or mods are required to use it (in fact sims that are put on the gallery wth CC will NOT show up in cupid's corner). You just need access to the gallery and it doesn't matter if you play on PC or console! Also Cupid's Corner won't just have gallery sims, you'll see the new townies on there but you won't see the player uploaded ones if you don't connect to the gallery. Hope this helped!
@@Jaz_Sims Thanks for responding! Okay so that last part, that's what I wanted to know. Like how will I be able to see the player uploaded townies by connecting to the gallery? Any steps on how to download them to my console gallery? I hope im making sense🤣

The top with the drawing of rose card reminds me of the “lotería mexicana” game. It’s like bingo but with pictures instead of numbers.
Ooh that's interesting! The pack was designed with mexican consultants so it must be that ☺️

Yeah, I assumed there would be too 💔

Love the cupids corner dating app but can someone tell me why I matched with HARRY STYLES? 😭

used your code buying this!

Lovestrucksingles !!

I agree, it feels silly.
I don’t know I’ve experienced computer bugs to sims 4 it’s making my sims4 screen freeze.
Really? Do you play with mods? My game has been fine but I removed my mods folder
I really like the look of it but $70 is WILD, so i might have to wait for a special.
