For this Live Studio Session, I teamed up with two incredible beatboxers and a talented upright bass player for a recording session that was an absolute blast! We dove headfirst into the iconic "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers, bringing nothing but pure groove and pocket to the table.
What makes this session even more special? There was absolutely NO REHEARSAL involved! 🚫 Our chemistry and musical connection took center stage as we tackled this classic track on only our second take. The result? A spontaneous and soulful rendition that captures the magic of live collaboration.
Join us on this journey of musical spontaneity, where every beat, note, and groove came together in the moment.

Sometimes, less is more, and having a simple rhythm section is really cool. Doesn't distract from the melody. YOUR role in this tune, was that of the vocalist, and the rhythm section stayed out of the way. Sounded great!

Awesome... This song comes up almost every time when I attend a jam session - need to listen to this 50 times and try to copy some of it. Heck, maybe I'll need to join your sax school next time there's some special promo.. 😎 Thanks for another great video!

Hey Scott...been watching your videos for a year or so. Ive been playing alto for over 40 years. Honestly im not on your level. I love watchin your vids bro...im pickin up some good tips.
Having said that...this is one of my absolute favorite sax songs to play. You did it well, brothah! Thanks for sharing your expertise, time, and music! Keep it on the good foot as James Brown would say! 🎷

Thank you! Yes, this is a very fun song to play. I liked playing a slower more in the pocket for a change on social media. The fast and high notes tend to get more attention, but a solid groove is always super fun.

@@ScottPaddock yeah Scott i agree...i think its easier to play a bunch of notes rather than holding back and following the groove. I believe the late Greg Allman said it best..."its just as important what u dont play as what u do play" i try to live by those words
