Sir this video has helped me tremendously. I just bought the AD200 Pro and couldn’t get the X2T to sync with it. Turns out all I had to do was turn off the ID feature and it synced right away. Thank you!

Talk about perfect timing. I was sitting here looking at my XProii trigger and wondering why my fully charged Eneloops were only showing one bar. Wished your had spent a little more time in the ID function. I had two ad200s using same channel and group but only one was going off and I found that strange but based on your video it may have been the ID function shift

Mine has newer firmware, v1.4. The MILC vs DSLR choice is removed, and there’s a new screen that appears to be able to turn groups on-off without cycling thru modes (but requiring too many button pushes in just the right sequence.)
This new screen does not turn off groups in my experience. It has what appears to be a limited power range for (something) that is adjustable without effect, including options to set ms and # of flashes, maybe for HSS but if so, that’s a secret.
It’s a decent controller, however the 60 seconds before it goes to sleep comes WAY too early. The only way I could get the camera to fire the lights was to wake up the controller every time the 12-second backlight went out … not 60 seconds at all. I’ll try other settings I guess.

Very comprehensive and clear. Thanks for making it. I am trying to find out exactly what I need to operate from an Olympus E-M1 Mark III and I see that this trigger has an "O" version. But, I need to operate Nikon flashes and one Phottix Mitros+ flash "For Nikon". I need power control and HSS setting from the trigger, on the camera.
I will need to know compatibility. I went to your channel page and didn't see the compatibility list you mentioned.

I’ve just seen your review on X2T and I have two questions:
1 - Do you know how to set the on-board flash (the flash on top of the transmitter, I’m not an English speaker)? I couldn't find any information about it :(
2 - On the page 47 from the Manual they are saying about the TCM Function (Transform the TTL shooting value into the output value in the M mode). How to use/activate it?

@@GotEmVids Me neither. It is the most strange decision Godox have made: they came back to the flash shoe on top of the transmitter, but that flash is not communicating with the master :))

Thx for this tutorial, i have flash V860III for sony and x2t triger when there are sycronise (pushin the flash test boton) but when i shoot photo the flash not flashin, why is that?
Old Vid, but just to point out, for some reason, in Sony's wisdom, I don't they didn't allow the e mount Nex, or the a6000 series to be able to work any Flash or flash trigger's AF illuminator. It was only until the A7000 series it actually works..😊
is there anyway to still use the distance meter while using this transmitter?

I not sure if mine is defective. When I hit the shutter button on my Sony A73 it changes my F Stop. This only happens with the X2 connected. My X1 doesn’t do this. Camera and X2 are in manual mode?

My r2t II only displays on and Tyler. It does not show M or manual. Also I am not able to go above 200 shutter speed on my canon 5D canon. What do I need to do? Thanks
Great tutorial but my transmitter was working for mths then it just stopped communicating with my xplor300 pro ttl. I don't know what I did different. I tried a few things you suggested in this video but still nothing. So frustrating.
You make it look so easy....but mine is still not working....well connecting. It's so frustrating. My other one stopped working, so I purchased another one....and still not connecting.

Hi Robert - thanks for the very helpful video. I have this transmitter but when I dial through the options available TTL isn't available. It only goes to M. I can get the transmitter to trigger the flash, but not in TTL. I'm sure I've missed something re: to setting it up, but have been unable to correct it. Would really appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

@@mynameisneb Haven't used the R2T in quite some time, but as I remember once you select the channel you plan to use (A thru E) press the Mode button until TTL appears. You may have to press it 2 or 3 times. Once TTL appears press Set to select it. I just tried it and that worked - hopefully that will solve the problem.

I bought this transmitter for Panasonic camera, however the lower hot shoe where is attached to the camera has multi pins contacts, except the hot shoe on top has on ly 1 pin contact. What is going on with this model? If it has no multi pins on the hot shoe, it will not has the TTL function if you attach a Panasonic flash on this hot shoe. The box of the unit did show it has multi pins, but the actual unit itself doesn't. Please explain...Thanks
You doe a good video. Maybe I can ask you a question. Does the r2-t have to be on the camera to fire the flash? Asking because my previous set up allowed me to walk to the subject with transmitter in hand to use a light meter on flash. Also, I have tried everything I've read, but can't seem to reset the trigger to factory settings. Any help is appreciated.
How could I change the zoom setting on this flash?
Please i need some help ....I dont know what happend ....I setted everything and it worked ...but i just turn it off ..and after that ...everything even tho was syncronized ...the Flash still does not triggers ...same channel same options everything works but when i press the button On the trigger its red ...
Excellent summary of the trigger! Do you know if there's a way to vary the output of the modeling lights. My AD200s have 3 levels but when using the X2T it overrides and turns them either to high or off but no in between.
Incredible video man, just what I needed. It's impossible to find a digital manual for this thing. After watching though I'm hoping you can fill me in on what hypersync settings are? Is that like a hyper dialed in flash for some sort of cool/stylistic artistic purpose? Why would someone want to delay the flash?

Great video! I have this X2-T unit - sometimes when I attached to the hotshot, and try to use with attached flash and also slaves, the display goes blank and the unit doesn't fire? It works perfectly fine when not flash is attached. Have you ever experienced this?
can you use Godox xpro transmitter with flashpoint evolv 200?
Not supposed to use rechargables. I think they also have a setting for flashes close to the transmitter now
Hello. Do you now if you put a flash on the top hot shoe of this X2T it will take the “group A” settings of the X2T even it is not set to slave mode or it runs separately as a single unit?
Second question is if a flash runing on the top hot shoe of this X2T fires if the X2T is turned off?

Hey mate. Just swapped my D850 for a GFX. I have bought a new Trigger, the X2TF. Positive start. But... I am trying to connect to my AD200, but it doesn't seem to link. I have made sure my X2TN is switched off.... I'm sure I'm being thick, but I am a bit stuck.... Any thoughts sir, nearly need to be able to swap systems easily if possible? Thx 👊
I have this trigger, the Nikon version, and although it worked flawlessly for two shoots with my D800 it is now intermittent with my D850 & D800. It simply won't work consistently. It'll fire for a few minutes then stop for another few minutes. I'm able to forcibly fire the flashes from the trigger, but not when I press the shutter. It's bizarre 🤯

I have had 3 Canon EXRT flashes for several years. I recently purchased 3 Flashpoint R2 round flashes and a trigger. Is there a way to get the Flashpoint flashes or the Flashpoint trigger to fire the Canon flashes? The ID function on the Canon is four digits and goes from 0000 to 9999. and the feature on the flashpoint goes from Off - 99. The channel selections on the Canons range from 1 to 15 whereas the Flashpoints range from 1 to 32. I hoped to use the three new flashpoints on Group A, B, C and then two of the Canons on D and E. Is this possible and if so, how do I need to configure this.?

Remove trigger from your camera, then push it back in all the way! Restart & try again
Hi, I’m having issues with this controller and a godox v350, i have the channel, id and group, out of the blue the connection is lost like it simply stops working. Im taking macro shots so the flash is on a lightstand but close to me. You mentioned that if it’s too close it won’t work, so how exactly is that does it stops randomly ? Trying to figure out of that’s my problem. I do move it farther as a test but dont work. Idk. Thanks

Robert is there a reason why they have not upgrades the firmware on this unit to include the TCM function? Seems to be the only thing missing to please everyone if that, apparently, is their goal.
Not sure, maybe it's just a Sony move, to withhold a feature to create a distinct purchasing advantage for another product.

Hey thank you for your help!! I own the X pro and I'm trying to figure if there is a way to change power on the strobes directly without the trigger changing it back. I need it this way because many times when shooting products my camera is too high and I can't see the trigger. Thanks
you can put it in app mode. Then it only sends the fire signal and no power level information.

Is anyone else missing menu options? For standby, my only options are 60 secs and 30 mins. I don't have the OFF option. I'm also missing the menu option that lets me choose between DSLR and MIRRORLESS
Does this transmitter work for AD 600 pro?
How come I can't put this transmitter in ttl mode? I had it once but now it goes to manual or I get the dash line??? Mine is called the R2-T II from Flashpoint. Same as the Godax one.

not specifically but I made videos using the V1 on and off camera to, so paired with this everything is covered.
