When the war in Ukraine broke out, Slaughter to Prevail were pretty quick to say they're very opposed to it. Alex Terrible issued a video statement, voicing their stance. "I wish you a beautiful, peaceful sky above your head" he said. The song is them doubling down on what they said. It's a very heavy way of saying "We said what we said"
This song is inspired by a... Let's say, a difficult political situation that is currently happening, while the name is a reference to an anti-utopia novel by George Orwell about a totalitarian government that keeps everything under control, censorship, and constant surveillance. Something like that.

It takes a minute to get used to alex's vocals, dude is an absolute animal and one of the best deathcore vocalists to ever do it. If you like the music but don't like the vocals, i highly recommend using softer bands to get used to harsh vocals until you adjust (took me almost 2 years of listening to "gateway bands" to get used to listening to alex, but there's a lot to love about the harsher genres that once you get used to them become very apparent, so i'd recommend exploring a bit to get used to it.
