Kind of sad you watched this before finished at least the first season of ATLA because while logically I get they put a lot of backstory of the war in this first episode. In the animation you get these scenes later in one of the most important ATLA episodes and it's so impactful to learn about certain characters at that point. Hope you will still enjoy it. :)
You should definetly watch the original first. Cause some characters appear earlier in liveaction and some things are revealed differently so it might spoil the expirence.
At the time of this comment i'm on episode 2 when they're on Kyoshi Island and I think it's pretty good so far. at least they have the names right unlike the movie
I think it'd be a 100x better if you guys got done with the animated one first
Watching this alongside would kinda ruin the experience because everything is not gonna match up, and they'd be many spoilers
You’re watching this way too early lol
1000% should you wait and finish the first season before watching this Netflix live action.
Noooo why would you watch this before finishing the original.
i would have waited and finished the cartoon version first as this won't be better and would only give you spoilers and ruin the cartoon version experience for y'all. but you do you man.
Yes, I agree. They should’ve at least finish season 1 of og show before watching live action version
We've watched the first six episodes of the animated version, and just watched this first one of the live action to see what it was like. But we plan on filming more of the animated before watching episode 2 :)
@@nickreacts6394 Ok phew... Coz I heard Netflix is combining certain things, and they'll have some characters show up earlier in the series.
That's gonna be a major spoiler.
I hope you understand all this not as us trying to control your viewing experience, but us trying to be as informative as possible so you can enjoy the show to fullest just like we did.
This show means so much to a lot of us, the fans. And you'll understand why when you get done watching ❤
@@nickreacts6394I’m glad to hear that!! 🩷 also sorry if my comment gives of rude tone, didn’t mean it like that
@@nickreacts6394It's all love, man. Please don't perceive my comment as hateful because it's a genuine concern. I also love One Piece, and the live-action adaptation of One Piece gave away a significant spoiler. When Netflix produces live-action adaptations, they tend to blend elements together, so you might encounter characters and plot twists earlier than anticipated.❤
You should really wait and finish the first season of the original before you see any more of this. The way the episodes of this are layed out, you will spoiled and lessen the experience. And this isn't quite as good as the original honestly.
We will be doing our best to stay well ahead watching the original show, we just wanted to check out the first episode of the live action version to get a taste :)
I wasn't a huge fan of episode 1 and thought episode 2 did a much better job and felt much better paced. Not sure how you feel about it.
@nickreacts6394 I'm about half way through the live action show and have already seen a TON of spoilers for Book 2 and a few for Book 3. So I'd suggest finishing the animated show first.
@@AJeazy i got a bit teary in episode 2 but in episode 4 i fell asleep.
@@markcruz359 I've only watched the first 2
Generations since the last comet: Sozin=Azulon=Ozai=Zuko
The pacing and revelation of events are definitely different in the live action compared to the animated. I suggest you watch animated first if you don't want it spoiled.
Oh please watch the og series first….
I mean i get that you want to get on the hype of the new series comming out but I feel like it will just mess with your head. Some things are changed in the live action And you’ll have trouble remembering of what heppened in what version. I really just recommend finishing the whole og series and then starting to watch the remake.
I disagree with everyone else. There are basically no reactors reacting to this that haven't already seen the original. I can't be the only fan that's itching for some new fan reactions to see how people that haven't seen the original like it.
I want y'all to finish the animation show before going into the live action
Just in case you haven't heard it yet today... y'all are precious 🫶
Thank you that's so nice to read today!
It's not that I think this show is terrible or anything; I just feel like there's little reason for it to exist, when the original cartoon is superior in every way. If there was no cartoon, I might be a lot more receptive to this.
i hope you two finish the animated and netflix series on your own time at least. i would love to see people experience these shows in different orders than me.
8:11"Tornado of air" that's what a tornado is, wind! The actor for Uncle Iroh does a good job staying close to the character.
This was an unexpected surprise.very cool
*they can only fly under effect of Sozin's comet
There are too many spoilers in this live action actually
Great, great reaction. Thanks!
I like it, but I'm bummed about the pacing. And I wish Aang would put in some more emotion because he's rushing out his lines as if he's a voice actor keeping pace with flaps rather than an actor acting out loud. Sokka is so great. Zuko is 👏🏾.
Aang is 12 years old and supposed to behave like that, i think he's great in my opinion
I have no problem with you guys watching both at the same time. You guys should do whatever you guys want to.
I actually warmed up to this halfway through the first episode when initially I was a bit disappointed with the pacing and beginning with Aangs back story. I quite enjoyed it! It's a bit different but you can tell it was made with a lot of love. Appa seemed incredibly sweet for example! Aangs actor seems to find a good balance between being a fun loving kid, ashamed and unsure of himself and then carrying this horrific burden. I really enjoyed Sokka and Katara and their dynamic.
Yes, it's not like the cartoon (which is a masterpiece) but had they done that it would have seemed silly. It's a nice way to revisit (not replace) the original.
Looking forward to watching episode 2.
Glad you guys enjoyed it! Stay safe and have a wonderful week ☺️
Loved this reaction, so happy you two are reacting to this series 💖
Love your reactions. Thanks!
I can't wait to watch this fully,Its like watching the original show for the first time all over again
Yea i think you're doing yourself a huge disservice watching this before at least finishing the first season of the original
It's not based on a kids show, it's based on a "kids show" 🤣
5/10
No nick, go back to the animation.
I'm watching the first episode and man, this is terrible. The worst acting and script I have ever seen. Good job netflix.
That's nor true.
I don’t plan on watching the live action version. I really don’t understand the obsession with making live action versions of everything, because I think animation is an underrated art form. But you guys seem to be enjoying it and I’ll enjoy watching your reactions to it either way.
me too i feel like some things are better just to leave animated cause it looks goofy in real life.
Nostalgia cash grabs are in fashion
This live action is completely different tho, not a 1:1 adaptation of the cartoon
@@EpicocatalistoThen they mights as well change the name too and all the characters names and faces cause if it's trying to be it's own show and be completely different it's failing so far
I'm okay with doing a live action version of an animated show... when it adds something. I just don't think this one has much to offer. It's not that it's necessarily bad, but it doesn't live up to the original, and there isn't anything new about it that I find compelling. It's just a mediocre version of something that's amazing, and what's the point in that?
Live action = diarrhea
You mean the crappy movie
want to see what jesus with low T looks like..... this guy. this guy is what he looks like.
