That’s why I thought leaving out the penguin sledding scene and simple stuff like sneezing and flying 10 ft up was something they should’ve kept to keep his lightheartedness for the sake of his character development. But so far it just feels forced. But good reaction Don!
Don I get you about not liking how they missed some things or decided not to put some things we liked or remembered from the show but just like how it is with Marvel and other companies you can’t put everything exactly the same into live action movies.. there has to be little differences here and there and believe me there’s gonna be a lot of differences within this series. But overall, I like it, it’s definitely better than M. Nights’ version in my opinion. I hopped on to watch the series at midnight, I’m on episode 5
My opinion is sokka is kinda different, they kept mentioning how harsh his life is, which it is true and it’s good. But we lost the funny sokka to balance his character.
I mean he still has that funny sokka, but it's definitely not the sokka cartoon we had, heill them removing the sxstness of sokka kinda works i mean he won't have the same character development, but it definitely works
Wow they already broke so much shit. Aang didn't get that Bison Whistle until later. We never seen the Airbenders vs the Fire Nation. He woke up and they knew he was an Airbender before he got to the village and had Appa with him. Where's the Avatar State at the end on the boat? Not saying it's bad but this extra stuff and then cutting stuff is kinda bleh.
For me the bending is too slow and they abuse the slow mo making it less cool than the animated series and the show only gets worst, they skip many iconic parts, 5/10 episode
1 ep in and it's decent enough. Sokka is perfectly casted. I'm on the fence on Aang still but leaning towards meh tbh. Cgi is pretty good. Choreography is pretty good. My biggest critique is why so many unnecessary changes? Appa didn't wake up with Aang. Aang leaving on the night of the attack. Katara not being the one who frees Aang. No explanation from Katara how bending isn't magic. Zuko showed up because of statues not the beam(which was secondary here) or the ship trap. They took all the humor of this first interaction with Zuko mopping Soka then Sokka returning the favor and they downplayed Aangs' childishness. Aang going to the air temple and learning of the attack so soon. None of these changes made the story any more cohesive so what was the point? All that does is push away some fans.
You could probably blame a lot of these changes on the studio. The original creator/s of the show also worked on this adaption and they weren’t too fond either.
@@wocky2299 true. I also saw a quote from the director basically saying "how do I change this" Like I said it's a decent enough show in it's own but as an adaptation it's a bumpy start and I can already see why the creators left.

People who think this is better than the first movie in 2010
👇
One thing i'll say is don't expect a shot for shot between this and the cartoon, else you'll not appreciate this or like the show
Day 3 of asking don to react to War of the worlds(2005)
Dang im early fire vid tho
Holy shit this shit is good
The first 5 minutes of the series and it’s already 100x better than the movie lmao
What movie???
@@FletcherJamez there was a first live action movie of avatar and let’s just say uh it was trash ☠️
He said Le Katara lol
🎉
They made Azula dirty
Yeah if you wanted shot by shot remake, just watch the animated series
Day 4 of asking Don to react to "What if...?" Marvel series
Don you should definitely also watch one piece live action
He started it when it released but I dont think he continued, but I dont have patreon so idk
I really want to you to react to some more black pink and BTS
I thought that monk that was with aang fought the fire soldiers while sitting and died sitting?
The intro is great and even give me goosebump, but aang, katara and sokka relationship progress is kinda rush and awkward
I mean in the animation Katara tells Aang that her and Sokka are his family now and they only knew him 2 days 😂
26:56 😂 pause
What did you say aquaman says with great power comes great responsibility 🤔oh no you did not thats uncle ben from spiderman
Watch wolverine origins pleasee
GIYATSOOOOO NOOOO 😭😭😭
I agree the cartoon was peefect so its a bit annoying they missed out of those small details
the show is good but u can tell the original writers left
wish sokka had his war paint. Shows good so far just missing those little details, A little disappointing but not terrible.
if im judging as an adaptation, 5/10. if im judging itself, 7/10
im a little dissapointed, in cartoon the only thing stopping zuko is his ship stuck in ice, but here he just give up after one fireball
Let me ask a Question, do you think, a Ship could catch up to Appa’s flying speed? Just one ship btw
6.8/10 episode
The first one right
I give a 10/10, this shit is good
@@nelsonlacayo5024 yeah, I'm about to watch the rest in a couple hours
@@nelsonlacayo5024 I respect your opinion just as you respected mine broski.
First and second episodes were weaker for me
They can’t fly higher or they risk being struck by lightning prolly :(
Wow they already broke so much shit.
The airbenders fought the fire nation in like the first 5-10 mins of the episode, but yeah you're spot on about them cutting content
Broke? its an adaptation. If you want to watch the original show then just watch that, this isnt supposed to be a 1:1 remake...
Sokka is funny enough in my opinion
5/10
Gravity falls
Everyone hyping up this show like they didn’t ruin characters and change the source material. Sigh 🙄
Definitely nitpicking
You can't include anything in the series it will end up just a copy paste they are doing their own thing
For me the bending is too slow and they abuse the slow mo making it less cool than the animated series and the show only gets worst, they skip many iconic parts, 5/10 episode
It's a remake not a scene by scene reactment.
Why dont you lie😂
I also saw a quote from the director basically saying "how do I change this"
Like I said it's a decent enough show in it's own but as an adaptation it's a bumpy start and I can already see why the creators left.
You're not the brightest. The OG creators wanted to change more than it's already been changed. The said the didn't want to recreate the samething. So you'd really hate if they stayed on. The changes are fine. You just want attention.
The only good episode is the 1st one the others are just shit and they didn’t even give a damn about the martial arts
The movie was so bad, even if the show sucked it still would've been better
The series is better than the movie easy but the show isn't anywhere near the anime. They literally had everything written for them and it was still boring
Sokka isnt funny T_T
Why did they change it so much from cartoon better graphics with trashy scripts ...when you skip or take out things that made the cartoon what it is .....and it seems like no 1 here ever watched the cartoon. Better graphics doesn't mean I don't care for how things actually went in the cartoon since when did Ang become a shape shifter that can control avatar state ...come on 😂😂😂😂😂 Ang is super stiff compare to the last garbage movie he can't the wind so why isn't he fluent and we have A.I😂😂😂
Bro why is there a gay love story in that avatar. How the first earth benders got they powers and they loved that were both woman ....listen to the Audio 😂😂😂😂😂...so this will s what they did better graphics for another LGBT flip...stop ruining are classics💯
