- Recipe Link below 🔽 German Crullers is a soft pastry: light, fluffy, and with a sweet frosting on top. Everyone loves German Crullers ... or Spritzkuchen as we call them in Germany. They are made with a choux and then fried and glazed and as I found out in my little side-experiment, you can even make them in the air fryer!

Awesome memories of my grandmothers ... thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
I’m definitely going to try these! I love that the sugar is only in the frosting & not in the dough! Thank you for sharing this with us!! ❤
What a very good recipe. I forward to doing it. Thank you! 🎉❤
Oh my goodness, they look delicious. I have an air fryer so will try that method. Thank for sharing Barbara. 😊
Hope you enjoy
These look very nice.
Great presentation! I love that electric pan! I'll use your affiliate when I'm ready to purchase one!
❤️ I appreciate the support! ❤️
I’ve never made these, I’m printing the recipe and looking forward to trying them. But first I must make Christmas spritz cookies. Thank you for sharing.
Happy holidays!
Never seen them in all my trips to Augsburg... but it was only over at Xmas once.. maybe not a Bavarian thing?...choux paste fried is a bit mexican too...good vid! 👍🏴
I see them, but in other Bavarian States. You was in Nuremberg, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Regensburg already? Nice Christmas market there!
Thank you for sharing. Those look very good and familiar. It's been many years and I cannot be sure but my grandmother used to make something very similar, she got the recipe from her mother who migrated to the U. S. in the 1880s with her parents.
Hope you enjoy and remember your grandmother. I’m sure she was a great baker since so many people shy away from making a chaux.
If not mistaken the dough is a basic choux pastry dough. These look delicious.
Yes, that is correct.
Hallo. Season Greetings 🎄Definitely going to try this lecker recipe.
Just a quick question: How many days can this be stored?
I think they should be enjoyed fresh but if you put them in an airtight container, they would last several days but might "sweat" a bit.
What temp and how long to fry in the air fryer? That is my mothers dough recipe for making cream puff and eclair shells. My heritage is also German with Hungarian and Russian in the mix. As usual a great video. Thanks
I am interested in the air fryer specs also.
I think I had it on 350F and watched it through the window (I have the air fryer from Cuisinart) It was probably 4 minutes but I didn’t pay attention to the exact time since I was also frying in oil and operating lights, camera and microphones. Sorry I can’t be of more help with that.
@@MyGermanRecipes Thats a good starting point. I will use that and monitor. That helps. With all that you had going on I am surprised you were able to respond at all.
