I have the exact same band saw. Despite following the manual the best I know how, I can’t seem to get a parallel fence for resawing. I would love a comprehensive video for bandsaw set up, maintenance, blade replacement and adjustment, etc. Love your videos! You do great work.
Oh wow I love that. What a beautiful piece of work. I dint hang one of those sanders but now I want one. I’m not a wine drinker but I would love to make this as a gift. Damn you man, more tools. Lol.
very very nice 👌 and out standing great 👍 wood working project iam just a beginner in wood working after I went into semi retirement because of my stroke 😊 🍻
I absolutely love this design so much I had to give it the thumbs up twice, but that turned out to have an unintentional effect, so I gave it a third thumbs up. This is the very first woodworking template I've actually downloaded. The very modest price almost justifies actually using live slabs 😄 Not having a bandsaw, I think I'll go with an MDF template and a router table. It's really a beautiful design 👍
I love this comment. You explain how you don't have a tool so you have another way to make it. Most people would instantly shut down the idea of building it. They need to think about it like you did.
Cool project! You could also do the same thing with two and put some spacers of some sort, maybe rods or threads or just small wood scrap blocks, to give a slightly different look and also help if you don't have access to as much thick stock. Also, depending on where you can get supplies near you, thicker stock can be cost prohibitive. Very neat idea and inspiration!
I think i would have done a 1/8 inch round over on that thing but hey, it`s not my project and it still looks great. Gotta love the Osmo! I hated the finishing part of my projects until i started using it. Easy and nearly impossible to mess up. Thanks for another fun video mate! Cheers
I made this wine rack by gluing a bunch of scraps together, matching a picture in a magazine. I cut it out in sections and glued them together for sanding. I used my spindle sander with a little trick I devised. I bought 6" sanding sleeves and used them over the 4.5" spindles. This worked quite well to clean up the whole surface.
Great job! I think I will attempt to make it, although with only a jigsaw there will be a LOT more sanding. Just personal preference here, but I think it would have looked better with 3/4 thick laminations of contrasting woods.
Absolutely stunning, Billy. If I try something like this I'll get a spare bandsaw blade before I start. A 7-hour plus road trip (that's Australia for you) in the middle of a project would probably make me lose interest!
Billy that's awesome yea a totally think u should do more things like this. It's really weird actually saw something pretty much identical to this in friend mines house about a week ago only difference is his was 4ft tall but yea am totally gonna give that a shot looks amazing great Christmas gift/idea to sell! 🤔🏴👍 Ps could we do another easy projects video especially with Christmas coming up maybe challenge out 1 5ft live edge slab??
@@NewtonMakes think it could be good as a say would be interesting see what and how many you could come up with from say a 4ft 2inch thick live edge slab there's one idea. 🏴👍🤔
How do you keep the saw blade tight? Mine wobbles, no matter how much I tighten it. Ryobi band saw, using 1/4" blade. Anyone in the comments? I'm having trouble with it wobbling, I cannot follow lines easily.
@@NewtonMakes yes. I guess I should have phrased it, why not have a spare on hand, and I wouldn't have waited that long... matter of style. I'm cheap, but like working with dull tools even less.

Thank you! I downloaded your template and cut out 3 slabs of Ash on my CNC
Put on 4 0r 5 layers of packaging tape, it helps as a lubricant for the blade and helps stop so much burning.
Appreciate the fair template pricing
ver nice work ... and very nice music too 👏👏👏
this is a real nice winerack

Quite creative I like it Curt
Good Job! From Poland !
Very cool project. Thanks!
GORGEOUS!
Definitely making this. Well done
Awesome project - never seen wine rack like this before. I stayed till the end but already subscribed 😁.
OH YEAH !! I'm doin' this one !! Thanks !! Love it !!

I have some spalted maple that I may try this with.

Beautiful piece. Nice job.
That's great, Billy. Your bandsaw skills match your insane scroll saw skills.
Bill
Ha! thanks. The second blade wasn't burning at least.
Looks great.
OUTSTANDING! I love this wine rack and you did an amazing job making it look easy, even though I know it wasn't!
Awesome design! You have inspired me to make one, too. Thanks!
Excellent vid.
looks great, just now need to fill it with some nice red 🍷
That's a cool design. Looks like fire. Stay awesome.
Very cool idea
Great looking piece!

I thought about a bigger round over but...meh it's all good
Nice work. Looks great.
Great idea with the contact paper. I have been using blue painters tape and that takes forever to apply.

Great job, I like it a lot! Very cool..
Make another and mount them on a wall and store some pipe clamps , levels , dowels ect. that would also be cool !!
Or make a giant one as a table base
@@NewtonMakes Lol !
Neat idea and a beautiful design 👍
Great project. I've decided to try it. The sanding is a pain.
Very nice but from where I can get it

I thought about that. But I did contrasting lamination on the pencil holders a couple videos ago and didn't want to repeat that.
Beautiful work, Billy! Nicely done! 😃
It looks more than amazing!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
It was fun without a ton of thought. Which is perfect for some of us who already have too much thought. 😂

Ha, better have two spares in that case 🤣
Can’t you guys buy things like band saw blades on the internet?
@@andybrook-dobson726 Probably going to take 2-3 weeks to get here.
Thats really nice , now i have to make one , dont think it will be as good as yours though 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Awesome project and video. Subscribed now. Keep up the great work
That looks great! Do you have any photos of it completely filled with wine bottles?
I don't have enough bottles to fill it completely. I don't typically drink so I've had to buy bottles for projects.
Well damnit. I already made my inlaws a wine rack
Hey Newton, I can't seem to get the Templet for this.
Do you not need to pop the grain with water or just for darker woods Nick🏴?
Great design, I think I will make one or at least give it a shot :)
How thick did yours come out?
lol. you need to air your tires like me.
Link to the clear contact paper please?
Hi, What did you use to apply the finish with?
How dare you use a slab of gold for this. Jajaja. Looks great man, job well done. Keep at it, killing it with your last few videos and the sarcasm.
Next I'm using platinum slabs

I'd definitely like to put out a couple more small gift videos. I need to brainstorm.

Awesome. Can’t wait to make this. What’s the dimensions of each piece you used?
Little under 2" thick
What does the scotch bright pad do for putting oil on it by the way it’s bad a$$
Allows me to buff it into the grain without leaving marks. Seems to work better than a rag.
@@NewtonMakes cool I’ve seen a couple people do that just wanted to know what advantage it was thanks for the reply
Does anyone know wtf the song is that plays at 3:20? Google doesn't recognize the lyrics :(

Never used that saw so it's hard to tell. Sometimes there are bolts you can adjust beyond the tension wheel. The manual usually says.
i cant find the link to the template?

For heaven's sake, buy a new bandsaw blade. Much cheaper than a table saw blade. Even top end timber wolf blades are generally under 35 bucks.
I literally bought one in the video.
