Lazarus Deathpunk no, not weird at all. there's a whole hobby dedicated to making tiny succulent vivariums in bowls and such which look extremely similar to these
tarantula sam i need your help!! you should totally make these and sell them. very helpful video as well. maybe you should do another one of you actually making one. thanks for all your great ideas.
let me just start off with..im on youtube..A LOT..im always on the look out for something new and creative. you nailed it bud, this blew me away. its creative its original. im not big on spiders but i get what your going for. congrats! I subbed to see whats next, maybe retrofitting those acrylic retangular boxes for a bigger display?
I know you probably don't need this anymore but what you COULD do is exactly what he did in the video but cut a door out of the middle, glue the top and bottom piece in place like he did with the bottom, then put the middle part on a hinge. Then do what he did with the hole on top, but put it on the side instead
It would depend on the wattage of the element, but I wouldn't risk it. Also, these particular ones are way to small for any heating element that I am aware of. I am also in the camp that if you are comfortable in your house in jeans and a T-shirt, then your spiders will be happy with the temperature too. Heating element have been known to kill spiders because they can burn them. I have two tarantulas in my office at work and I use a space heater with a thermostat set at 68 for them just incase the office gets too cold at night.
Great info! I am new to the hobby and definitely have my eye on several Ts, though I'll start with just one at first. I LOVE the habitat you have made here. My biggest concern is just having the room warm enough. At night we set the thermostat at 65 in the winter. It's much warmer in the summer though. Just trying to come up with the best ways to ensure that my future T will be warm enough :) I have two other rooms that are definitely warmer that I could easily use. I was just really wanting to keep them in my bedroom.
The ones I have saved are just in deli cups. I haven't saved them all though. Like I said, some of my T's like to chew them up pretty bad before I can get to them. lol
Sam can you please leave the link the specific hinges? Please. I have been looking for them but the smallest size is 25mm. I don’t know what to do. Thank you
I love these, tiny enclosures are so cute! I just want to make them now, whether they house Ts or not. Thank you for the video! Awesome job. :)
This is so freaking creative! They're awesome!
Is it strange that I think those are so cute

Why would it be strange? ¿?
great video ...love the enclosures 👍's up.
These are similar to the Ferrero Rocher acrylic boxes! Cool

Lol thanks for this. In a another of your video I asked what I can do for slings that spend most of their time up high lol

damn I went to hobby lobby today and they unfortunately don't sell them at mine. I'll have to order it so hopefully they get here before my sling lol
do spiders need a specific temperatures and space?
ok... I built one... but my Metalic pink toe will only chill on the lid!! ugh....
If you needed a heating element, like a heating pad, are these safe? Will they melt?

what are you using for the molts?
I'm not sure what you mean? The molts I have saved are just in deli cups. Some of them destroy their molts before I can get to them.
+TarantulaSam the container that you put in the molts in

They are the 25mm x 32mm ones
What size are they? I got some for 1/32 scale matchbox cars and they seem a lot smaller then what you got there.
3.5h x 2d x 1.5w as oriented in the vid.
