  • Another round of driving 2,600 miles from Utah to Alaska is in the books. I've taken the Alcan, the Cassiar, Yellowhead Highway, and the route through the Canadian Rockies. It's an amazing drive and I'm lucky to have done it again.
Thank you so much for watching and subbing if you're interested in seeing more.

Thank you so much for watching and the kind words, Jordan! I wasn't going to put it out because the audio is bad, but I figured done is better than perfect. Happy trails 🍻

This drive is on my bucket list. You and your aunt sounds like my kinda people! So sorry for your loss.

That is my favorite memory of her. Thank you.
The drive is amazing. If it's on your list I'd highly recommend getting a copy of the Milepost (new one published each year) and taking the Alcan one direction and the Cassiar Highway the opposite. 🍻

Speaking as someone who is much closer to the end of my life than the beginning ;I want to say that your travel experience is something to be cherished. Never underrate what you have done. Your videography is beautiful and very, very well done. I’m hoping to take one more road trip to Alaska and it will be a bucket list trip for us. Thanks for the inspiration!

Howdy Robert. Thank you so much for the kind words. I was in a tough place when I made this video-- I'm sure you understand-- sometimes it's hard to be easy on yourself. I know that your road trip will be AMAZING. May all the bears come out to say hello. Happy trails 🍻

As a guy stuck at a computer most of the time, this is refreshing! Fun to watch and just listen to while I am working. There is about a 10 mile hiking trail where I live and will gear and prep for it. Thank you, I'm subscriber #517!

Howdy Brian, thank you so much for reaching out-- it means a lot! Sounds like that 10 mile hiking trail has your name on it. I've got an 8 mile trail near me-- honestly most of the time I only do a few miles but I always feel better after. Cheers from Alaska 🍻

My son and I drove from Panama City Fl to Alaska May of 2023. We caught the ferry in Bellingham WA. got off at Haines. Next trip crossing the boarder on Montana and driving the Alcan. Great video

Oh that sounds like SO much fun! The Alaska Marine Highway gives you this whole new perspective of the state. I've yet to take the ferry from WA to SE AK, but I did do the route from Gustavus to Juneau and Haines a few times. Lovely!
Thanks for reaching out and I'd absolutely love to hear about your journey on the Alcan! (Don't forget about the Cassiar on the way to or from AK. It's sublime.)

Sorry about your aunt. She sounds like a really fun crazy aunt. I really enjoyed the drive. I've been to Alaska four or five times. It never fails to impress.

If you've been to AK several times I'm sure Alaska has a piece of your heart. It's so wild. Happy trails 🍻

Yep. I get that nowadays people's livelihoods depend on reception/internet and they didn't back then. It was a bummer, though. Thanks for watching, Matt 🍻
