My gaming PC consumes 5x more electricity than my Mac, but is only 2x faster in graphics performance and actually slower now in CPU. Apple’s aggressive pacing of annual chip upgrades is really starting to stack up and it won’t be long before the only real roadblock to overcome is just getting game developers to port their titles over to macOS. Any actual hardware limitations are rapidly disappearing. It even features hardware ray tracing and AI upscaling now.
Yup, good times are ahead for Macs, IF Apple plays it smart. Already made a video about them getting Ubisoft, but also working on what a Apple Games Studios could look like, like Microsoft Games Studios right,. I'm hoping more and more devs drip over to port games to Mac.
I was thinking about the same thing since newer Apple products started coming with the carbon neutral tag and also the industry that put Iphones as the best mobile devices, sleeps on the mac's capabilities of running games better than any brand there is thanks to it's efficiency, I really love the videos mate and i hope you keep doing them, you're great at it. ( it's an amazing thing that now people can use the Mac for professional tasks and also games)
Thanks mate, ye i'm working on more videos and not only about gaming but also about Apple in general for my 2nd channel Wybrem Silicon. I'm new to this so it's going to be a learning curve for me. Also I forget about it being carbon neutral but ye thats a good point. Apple will not be getting a carbon tax for this machine lmao.
Apple should make a portable console with apple silicon, that will be a big step for gaming. Also apple arcade need to be modified by adding aaa games in there. I think it’s the key factors for apple gaming.
@@WybremGaming A computer that dubs as a console anytime + the handheld is already covered by iPads and iPhones. Apple just have to remove its ar*e from their b*tt and standardize MacOS on all devices (when they all have the M chip) and get rid of the multi-OS support (iPhoneOS & iPadOS - especially the later) to get ALL big AAA devs on board. Supporting that many types of OS that accomplish the same thing "but differently" is ridiculous in 2024.
I have the Mac m4 . Jesus ! its not the whole grail of gaming like people make it looks so lmao . The gpu is as powerful as a very old gtx 1060. Launched like 10 years ago . The cpu is powerfull but the gpu is very weak. I played dota2 at max at 1440p and I was getting around 70 fps but after 20 mins the cpu temp went to 105 degrees celsius and because the GPU shares the same die as the cpu it started throttling . I hope no one believes the apple silicon with the cpu and gpu on the same die is some kind of amazing gaming console . Its not. It's as goof as 4 generation back of low tier Nvidia gpu cards .
Again you have no idea what you’re talking about. That old gpu uses copious amount of energy… this barely 15. This is the weakest Apple has and it’s already better than 50% of steam hardware lol. Not to mention much more efficient.
Actually the M4 is on par with a 3050 except it has more VRAM and it doesn’t throttle. The M4 Pro is on par with a 3070ti and M4 Max is on par with a 3090. So no the GPUs aren’t weak
@@chidorirasenganz what are u smoking bro ? I had a rte 3070 ti and I played control in high settings at 1440p with RTX at 80+fps. On m4 pro I can barely reach 30 FPS AT 1080P AND LOW settings no rte
@ That’s false as I’ve seen people play Control with higher resolutions and frame rates. Also if you’d bother looking at Geekbench and Blender scores you’d easily see that they are comparable

@@flappospammo ooof, no older games would be supported than like ps3, would prolly be a hard sell.

That would be such a good idea. Ye Apple Arcade is crap atm imo. They are sadly still happy with mobile games.
They don't need, they have a Mac Mini that is already smaller than any console.
@@Traumatree ye but lets be honest, the mini is a work computer first, the handheld market is catching grip...
