Stopped by your store today and picked one of these up. One of the best yard purchases ever! I'm getting older (86) and while I use a chainsaw a lot, it's time to slow it down a bit. And just looking at it in this heat just makes me want to take a nap. I went out today with the GTA-26 and took down almost 20 small trees that had been getting out of hand. Breaking out the large Stihl chainsaw seemed like too much, and a heavy pruner was just bit too small, so they continued to grow. My wife is happy. I am delighted. Cut everything up and have it in barrels for the County pickup. I'd never have known about it without this channel. You guys are the best.

I have watched this video since it came out 11 months ago. I wasn’t sure if it was worth the money. Finally, after cutting things with loppers; because a ms171 was too much saw. Bought ga26 on July23. I will saw its exactly what was needed. I figure it can do most trimming up to 21/2 inches. Anything more and you’re asking it to do too much. You also have to be aware that the chain is short. Heats up a little quicker than you expect. So, you have to take the slack out of the chain. Easy to do. Just keep an eye on the chain. Very good demonstration of the product.

I find this tool we be awesome for getting into those tighter spots like shrubs and bushes. The Drought and Extreme Heat this summer has done a number on the boxwoods in my backyard so that will be its first job on the agenda. After watching your 1st look video and Al Bladez video using this product and I went down yesterday and snagged me one. I do residential mowing for the elderly and this will be a welcome addition to the rest of my Stihl arsenal, this will come in especially doing quick cleanups, A lot more practical than breaking out my Chainsaw or Pole Pruners, Stihl MS 261 CM / HT 131.

I was watching Al Bladez and the three videos he made of the cleanup of that large property and house. You guys showed up to help and advertised the STIHL GTA 26 - Battery Pruner/chainsaw. Al gave a link to your channel so I came here to look at the product. I live all the way across the country, in California. I am terrified of chainsaws because they are so big and can do so much damage in an instant, but sawing everything by hand is a lot of work and I do not have the energy I had at age 40. This mini-chainsaw seems much more manageable and something a woman like me could use. Thank you.

Thank you. The house was pretty big but i wouldn't call it anywhere close to a mansion or an estate. It was big enough to give us the best sleep we have had at night in a while though.

You never did state just how long that 10.8 battery held up with consistent cutting. I suspect Stihl sacrificed energy and sustained power for lightweight handling, and one would no doubt benefit from a backup, fully charged battery in standby, eh?
