I have a off brand not sure who made it but it works great! I do have a Stihl weed whacker and a Stihl blower that work great! Thanks Brent for the video.
Interesting. Could be handy. What’s the price with battery and battery charger? What is the weight with battery? How long to recharge battery? How long does battery hold its charge when stored for a month without use? Are larger AH batteries available? Does they have a 6” bar/chain combination? Thanks.
Yes they are very handy. Price is usually around $179.99 and the weight with the battery is around 3.1 pounds. I have not yet charged one of these batteries from dead to fully charged so I am not sure there but I do know that with this battery and charger system you should leave the battery in the charger when it is not is use so it will maintain the battery. I am not seeing the AH batteries available yet and this is a 4" bar and chain assembly. Good questions and thanks for watching!
@@WesternEquipment we all start somewhere :) I have a few trees out there with some badly placed cuts while learning on the job. Have you tried the Milwaukee hatchet 18 and 12volts? It looks like a silky hand saw could get through this faster. Might be a good video to have a manual vs mini saw race
We have a few saws including the small kombi pole saw. My wife wants this, but I’m uneasy with her holding any chainsaw with one hand. I didn’t see kickback or iffy moments in your video but I’m still uncomfortable with this sort of tool
fcUKing Hell, you need to wear gloves, and remember this unit is TWO handed, meaning you shouldn't ever have your free hand holding a branch. Neither would I oil the chain whilst the battery is in.
I thought the same thing, but this chain doesn’t move very fast, and I seriously doubt you could overheat the bar in the 5 minutes it takes to drain the battery. Especially when you have to stop every minute and a half to fish out small twigs that get pulled onto the sprocket chamber. Total disappointment.
@@WesternEquipment if it only has 10 mins of run time on the saw wouldnt it be vice versa? i was thinking this might be nice for palm trees but this wouldnt stand up to trimming some of those palm boots..
FYI take a silver felt tip marker and draw the outline of the saw inside the case. It makes it much quicker to put back in the case. Great review.
Nice Tip!
Just bought one. Thanks for the video. Excited to get out and use it.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy!

Thank you and thanks for watching!
You should study up on proper pruning cuts. You cut way to flush which damages the tree
I have a SunJoe mini, and the chain keeps coming off the sprocket. Did you have any problem with the chain staying or, or replacing the chain?
Thanks for your review. Went out and bought one. Will be using it soon on crape myrtles.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it!
Just bought it. Thank you so much for your video.
Im looking at getting one to clean out the maple suckers from my hedge.
Sounds like a good job for this tool.
I own one love it .Put the only issue i got its the duration of the battery. Also the carring bag needed to be closed on the sides
Yes, battery life can always be better on everything and I agree on the bag too!
I just love mine, also bought extra batteries so always got one ready to go!
I’ve got the Stihl hand chainsaw and can anyone explain the carry case it comes in. Good little saw though.
good tool, good demo. But your pruning cuts are terrible.
Battery backup time?
Do you mean the charge time?

Great video , just bought one, as always Stihl is the best.
So you are enjoying it already huh?
Just echo 😄
Anyone else irritated he cut inside the branch collar on those bigger cuts?
I knew this was coming. Rookie mistake. I will admit that I am not an arborist and I am surprised this comment didn't come sooner.

I totally understand but I can tell you that my mother-in-law used it and absolutely loved it and had no problems at all. Thanks for watching!
I have one it works I just feel in small tin branch's don't leave a clean cut kind like a knife.

I will try and be more safety aware next time. My apologies for worrying you.
Hi i have 1 all good.
😊👍🌹
👍👍👍
Nope, not for $200. That’s stupid. Lol
I can understand this. Prices can be crazy these days.
No self lubrication in the unit stops me.
I can understand this but for the use of this unit it’s not bad using the oil bottle.

The Milwaukee is same way, plus invested in dewalt.
Thank you for responding.

Totally not convinced of this in the slightest. A handsaw and a pair of secateurs will be 300 times more practical.
It really is an awesome little tool. Definitely not practical for everyone, especially if you have very few trees or bushes to maintain.

Sorry not impressed at all. Will stick with my echo thank you….
Totally understandable, but what were you not impressed with? just curious. Thanks for watching!
