"The existence of the uncanny valley as an involuntary response implies that, at some point in our evolution as a species, there was a *reason* to be afraid of something that looks human but isn't."
I love the acknowledgement that Arin's sort of invokes the bad vibes on himself by also being a source of bad vibes. It's much more fun when your not famous on the internet, but the more famous you are, the more painful it is to play that "shit sucks" game and you have to choose if and how you'll roll with that.
Judging by his gleefully trollish behavior, his contrary-for-the-hell-of-it opinions, and the sheer energy he gets from nitpicking everything in the world to death for no reason, I can only conclude that Arin genuinely enjoys making himself unhappy 😆
" You can't see the nose on your face unless someone holds up a mirror." Meanwhile I'm able to look directly at my nose. I don't even have a big/long nose either.
This is hilarious. As a massive Asimov fan, I hard agree that his writing isn't the best. I think Asimov himself even admits that he has an incredibly plain writing style.
Hmm. I guess he does, but because I never noticed and I was just like, "This PLOT, holy shit!" I'm going to say that it's not failing potential, it's as good as it needs to be. I guess it's sort of like if the cinematography was plain Chris Columbus, but the story was so good that as long as the shots are never distractingly an overt artistic choice but also never distractingly bad, then the attention is drawn where it should be.
"That's why people hate me so much! I ' M T H E M !" This actually rings true. I think a lot of people who hate on the internet for no reason may just be holding deep-seated jealousy and envy.
The "plain as the nose on your face" thing is hilarious to me because it's literally like the only thing that you can literally always see if your eyes are open. You super don't need a mirror 😂😂
people can't tell whether a guy running for office is a robot or not Arin: so, then who cares? literally _any_ rational human with a brain that's seen Terminator/The Matrix/iRobot/Avengers:Age of Ultron/ Marvels' What If series, Arin....

Dan: WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO FORCE ME TO SAY THAT ISAAC ASIMOV SUCKS- news site: this is just in, popular gaming youtuber and comedy musician Dan Avidan said that, and I quote, "-ISAAC ASIMOV SUCKS"
I think I can solve this. Asimov was a genius wrighter and put more care an attention into his words then most of his contemporaries He was also a mid century SciFi author.
He was a journalist first and a novelist second so he focused on the communicative strengths of prose rather than the emotional strength of poetry. He wrote much in the same style as Herbert or Hemingway.
Clearly I need to reread that book because I totally do not remember the guy running for office while possibly being a robot. Given the number of people online who keep posting the "Meteor for President: 2024" memes, I suspect quite a few people would welcome our robot overlords.
Totally thought it was gonna be about that damn movie, showed up like "Hell yeah that's a lame adaptation, it's not even based on the book it's named after-" The content is in fact about the Book and Arin being a fiery-pants liar. Well played
@@Xarazel That's cool, I really wanted to like it. I've just never gotten over the fact that it called itself "I, Robot" when its plot was a trimmed down version of "The caves of steel", thereby guaranteeing there won't be a good adaptation of either story for who knows how long! The tragedies of the nerdy 🙃
Asimov is the book equivalent of Star Trek; Congratulations on making all those fascinating concepts be executed in the most boring way possible. You are indeed very talented.
You can just tell by hearing these two which one has stayed on Twitter the longest and which one hasn’t.
Lol you're right, Dan literally does not have Twitter and does not want it, as he has stated
Did Dan ever have a Twitter?
lol, how to show your age.
"Arin talks Dan in circles while Sonic goes in circles"
Arin deliberately annoys Dan for fun while not knowing how to play a video game. What could be more Game Grumps than that? 😆
Dan's exasperated "holy shit" after dealing with Arin just sends me, I love it.
God, you ARE the internet.
Where does it send you?
As the Internet, Arin named the clip too that’s absolutely not misleading.
Love thar bit, and the fact that arin was looping around the level without knowing makes it way better
The "dude he's DEAD" made me laugh so hard
01:18 Can't believe Dan of all people would say "Asimov sucks" like it's undisputable fact. What a jerk.
It's right there! We all heard him say it 😤
I can totally cut and paste it so he says that and worse.
how dare he.
I was so shocked by how savagely Dan attacked Isack Azzimov :*(

Could also be other human species/subspecies like Neanderthals

You are the internet Arin 😂
Little by little, Arin's plan to turn Not-So-Grump into Grump begins to plant the seed a bit deeper...
I always love when Arin smells "bit" and just goes all in on it.
"dan just will not stop trash talking irobot"
Because he never started.
It makes me so happy to hear some of my favorite UA-camrs talk about one of my favorite books! Much love from Texas!
🎶"Please don't joke about iRobot this Christmas! Cause iRobot would not joke about you."🎶
Oh, the BOOK I, Robot. Not the movie starring Will Smith, which we all know the Grumps's opinion on his acting career.
Dan has a lot more patience than I do, lol.
I was expecting this to be about the movie and Will Smith. In fact I bet Dan would be shitting on irobot if they were talking about the movie.
man, sounds like Dan really hates that book... right, Arin?

Sonic's lives are Tails-es and it's him saving Sonic. So, does that mean Tails just doesn't feel like it after 2 saves?

"Isaac Asimov sucks." ~ Dan Avidan, 2021
Keebo hates robophobic humans.
This really highlights Arin's way of thinking.
"If I don't like it then it must suck."
Isaac Asimov is wrong. You can always see your nose your brain just tunes it out. Just cross your eyes and you see it.
