Yes it does!!!
I purchased the LG G Pad 5 10.1 tablet from Amazon the 2019 one.
Took it to my local Cricket store.
After about 15 minutes, the tablet was working with its own internet. 55$ "simply data plan"
The Cricket store have the Sim Card for it. It costs $9.99. Mine was actually free. No cost.
If it works for me, at the poor lousy Cricket store in my city, then literally anyone in the US can do the same too!!
Streams yt Netflix etc all day np it's very good

Can I use my cell sim on a iPad air 5th? The additional phone sim is only $10.way cheaper than a data sin.
I wouldn't. It might work for a bit but then Cricket will end up deactivating your account (has happened to many people in the past).

The newer iPads are 5G compatible. 4G LTE is also pretty standard still.

They don't support iPad 9th generation A2603. But AT&T supports it. I didn't get meaningful explanation from customer support what is wrong with latest iPad
That is very odd indeed, perhaps they just need to "add it" to their system yet. Thanks for sharing this with the community for those looking to add the 9th Gen.
After talking to several Cricket representatives about how to purchase a compatible tablet, I purchased the A2603 9th generation iPad. THEN one representative assured me it would work and the next told me it wouldn't. Extremely frustrated. Cricket should be MUCH more transparent about how to purchase something compatible.

Can “Try Cricket” be activated on an iPad that is carrier unlocked AND does not currently have an activate carrier service? My iPad doesn’t have a phone number attached to it yet so I’m unable to activate the free trial. Please help!
It cannot. Just iPhones and Android phones are now supported but not iPads.

Help give us a link or some clue of WHERE!!!!! we can actually buy a compatible tablet that works with the cricket plan and has sim card slot.
It is extremely hard to find a tablet that will work. Literally everyone I saw did not work with att cricket.
A lot of people are wasting tons of money buying a tablet just for this cricket plan. But getting scammed cuz all the tablet's are not compatible. So the money on the tablet is completely wasted...

I can't find any.
My WalMart doesn't even know what a 4g tablet is.
And amazon/eBay are full of tablet's that are knock offs that won't work with cricket.

yes I bought my cricket compatible tablet on Amazon, it arrived very quickly, free shipping. Mine was like 270$ something. LG G Pad 5, 10.1 , 2019 amazon model.
I took it to my local cricket store, they put a sim card in it for free, was gonna be 10$ for the sim card, but mine was free. Took about 10-15 minutes to finish.
It costs 60$ a month for the, "Simply Data" Plan for my tablet.
I got 2 cell phones and my tablet on my cricket plan. Which is 154$ a month all together. Plus I got the 8$ insurance added a month in case I break my phone.
The tablet works great, has it's own phone number.
And you can watch YT, Netflix, Etc literally all day long. 7am till midnight, everyday no problem. Clear picture, no buffering, rarely any signal loss.
