Southern Pine Lumber Company #28 wearing 610 whistle!
The T&P Shops built the bell on a bowl from a Nathan 5 chime.
It was delivered with a Nathan 5 chime but they didn't like it, so they built their own bell!

If 610 were to be steamed again, I guarantee they would need to rebuild it due to the parts being worn out inside the boiler. Most locomotives that have been in static display for a decade or more usually have to under go a rebuild, like what UP 4014 and Reading 2102 had to under go.

@@Ambitious_Scripter I agree with what you’re saying, but I’m not sure if the tracks are wide enough for the 610 if it was running again. It’s more likely that large locomotives like the 610 would tend to struggle when they try to go on tight curves.

@@T128Productions Yeah, like N&W 611 can't go through certain places due to the track being too tight.
