Canadian Pacific

The Canadian Pacific 2816 “The Empress” built in 1930 has arrived in Texas! CPKC is taking the 2816 on a 8,000 mile journey through Canada, the US and Mexico.
We started our journey with the 2816 in Kendleton and chased her to Robstown through the flat lands of South Texas.
Sit back and enjoy this classy Canadian Engine on this small portion of her journey!

Wow some great chase footage there...I hope some southern US rail fans track the train into Mexico...might be the best opportunity for extended and clear chase shots. I see they've added a modern diesel to the consist, maybe for going south of the border?...Wonder what the official reason is?? Love that dual rail crosshead. ¡Salud al CPKC Empress 2816 en México!!!!
