I personally liked how you used the side of the tom as well that is what makes drumming so musically all the great ideas and with you excellent dynamics Earl!! Sounded great as usual!! Zax Drums ... thanks for the encouragement! The repetitive nature of today’s drumming makes it important challenge ourselves to step out of our comfort zone and stretch! This song had some challenges ... it’s not my style to play the rim hits but that is the groove on this one! I thought the side of the floor tom sounded better than a rim! That’s why I used it ... it’s all about the sound and feel! I’m glad you enjoyed it Zax! I’m sure it will work out tonight! 👍🏻😀🤟🏻
BP Fishing ... sorry I didn’t see this one ... I miss lots of YT messages. It’s a rhythm thing for me more than a hand pattern. But the hand pattern is not alternating it’s broken up and plays to the accents. I think I’m playing the e and ahs in the left hand and the 1 and & notes in the right except the 2 which is a left hand on the rim. If that helps.. it’s a feel thing I relearn every time this song is chosen! Crazy, but true! God bless.
