How do you put the pin in when leaving the slip to go home as the wheels are down in dark murky water, This is the best video I have seen so far.as I mentioned it’s difficult to get the pin in with the wheels down when retrieving the boat from slip way, thanks so much

How are you getting from home to lake? Are you trailering? Is it legal to the these wheels?

We leave them at the lake. We are fortunate enough to have access to a lakefront house and we leave them inflated in the basement. The times we have transported them we packed them down. We've packed them into cars, SUVs and once we packed them down and used a utility trailer.
When we went to the ocean, the launch was on the opposite side of the neighborhood we were in so we pulled them at very low speeds behind the truck using dollies under the front end. The transom wheel "bearings" got very hot doing that even though we stayed under 5 mph and it was maybe half a mile.
In the future, we plan on building a trailer; but for now we just pack them down if we want to transport them somewhere.

don't the wheels fold up out of the water when driving i think they should somehow the bottom bolt should have a cotter pin in it so you can fold the wheels out of the water when driving if you hit something under the water could rip the transom off

You can fold them up, but on this boat the transom is so narrow, they kind of get in the way so we just take them off and leave them at the dock. You could take them with you as well. Definitely wouldn't want to drive with them down in the water; in addition to damaging the transom, I don't think you'd be able to steer too well.

@@HufflerGarage I have the blue ones like on your other boat.. actually tried mine down and it didn't seem to make a difference.. also pulled the bottom pin and just let them float on the top pin and it didn't seem to make a difference..

Nice.. so you leave the wheel like that while you ride...???...🤪

We just remove them altogether once the boat is in the water. You can leave them at the dock or pack them in the boat. They can fold up, but on this boat they can get in the way.

Those wheels are way to big for that small boat
