Ranking Every Vehicle from the 1984 G.I. Joe Catalog Insert

G.I. Joe was one of the most prolific toy lines from the 1980s. And, although it started in 1982, the cartoon started concurrently with the 1984 releases. So with that in mind, I'm ranking all of the vehicles from the 1984 catalog insert. Figures to follow, so stay tooned.

I remember I totally lost my shit when the Rattler jet came out in the catalogs! I like it even more than the S3P-77 Raven; I’ve now got several variations of that plane!

I do love the Rattler, especially having seen real A-10s in action when I was in the military, but I was a Top Gun kid in the 80s, so nothing beat the F-14-ish Skystriker for me.

Well, I know which would win in a dogfight between an F-14 and an A-10, but this one would probably come down to a pilot face-off. It would all be about Ace vs. Wild Weasel in that one!

@@dr.animaction true enough; F-14 are for air superiority dogfighting and A-10 are for ground support carpet bombing. BTW do you have the improved HASLAB XP-14 Skystriker yet? (I’m waiting for a new HASLAB Rattler to be issued)

I unfortunately got away from collecting the toys, primarily because of selling my original collections back in my young military days when money was tight. Nowsdays I pick and choose what I collect due space limitations, but a new Rattler may be something I'd pick up (the aircrafts are some of the few pieces I've tried to keep, as I'm obsessed with cool jets and helicopters).
