I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you my friend, life got the better of me for quite a while there. The head unit I installed was this one: shorturl.at/imuR3 (shortened link for convenience) Thanks for watching and I hope this was a little helpful :)
Couple of questions mate: 1- How has the use of this android unit aged for you? Does it do everything you wanted it to do and is it still snappy? 2- I have a similar unit installed (although a cheaper version from AliExpress) and I just can't get the hands-free mic to work properly. I've added an external mic to try it our but it seems the unit doesn't pick that over the built-in mic on the unit itself (and that one sucks hard!). Did you have this issue? Cheers!
Hey man, this is the first video that covers the exact same things as i wanted to do. The head unit on the old cubby place, leave the old radio where it is not running. And a subwoofer i have left from my old BMW. I was a bit suspicious of this aftermarket head unit like this, because i could find a video like this of someone going through the process. You explained and showed everything super clear ( even tho you made a bit of a mess 😂). Do you recommend replacing the factory speakers as well, or is it a world of difference compared to the stock head unit?
@@LayogenicMusic wow that’s actually really encouraging to hear. this might be a lot but: i was wondering if you had a parts list or recommendations from what parts you used (amp, woofer, enclosure)? i’m also looking to install a sub so im curious about the location of your woofer setup (it’s my first sub/ head unit install). any advice would be greatly appreciated:)
What's the name of the headunit?

you can get facia kits with the aircon controls and an empty double din space for aftermarket stereos. means you can keep the little storage space
true, but i think in this case these seem to look nicer. might try to make a storage space in the stock radio location when i do this setup
Thank Android auto multimedia modules for bringing 2nd life to old cars! I am going to do the same stuff in the future with mine.
