Yes this is a original composition, Sam says he wrote it with a James Bond theme in mind. His background is in rock bands but he was working as a wedding singer before lockdown and then started to post short cover videos on Tik Tok and Instagram and became one of the most followed singers there. He was selected to represent the UK at Eurovision in 2022 (with his song Space Man) and came 2nd and became more widely known. Last year he co-wrote and performed a song - Fought & Lost - for the TV show Ted Lasso that was Emmy nominated. He's a great live performer (I've seen him a quite a few times) and is currently working on his second album.
So pleased about the comment about soft singing ….I am not musically or lyrically knowledgable but even I have come to the conclusion those soft notes require SOOOOO much skill but also courage - for a vocalist to allow themselves to be ‘exposed’ to the audience singing the quieter notes, takes courage and confidence. I live Chris Stapleton for similar reasons ….his live CMA version of the song Cold is a masterclass …harmonises perfectly with his band too ….recommend all who love Sam Ryders live version to check out his song too….if you do, enjoy ❤!
Sam Ryder has a very versatile voice, he has, in the past done many cover songs, they are well worth checking out. Try also the acoustic version of his song "More" filmed in the V&A museum. Great reaction, thanks.
Thanks for your reaction! I couldn't find out if you ever reacted to Dan Vasc, a metal singer from Brazil. You should check out his version of Amazing Grace. He can sing everything, even Nessun Dorma. His vocal range is incredible.
This is the BEST live performance of this song ♥♥♥
