Flights from Islamabad to Karachi on Pakistan International Airlines in executive class cost Rs 34,000, ₹15,000, or $210. Economy costs Rs. 22,000 ₹10,000, or $130. Flight time is 2 hours. No meal on board. Water is available.

The domestic Executive class of PIA is literally the same system as Intra-European business class right now.
@ it is a traditional Pakistani "Pashtun" style hat to make hem blend in. That way they don't see him as a freshly arrived tourist which means they are less likely to try to scam Karl
Fun fact, PIA was one of the top airlines in 70's and 80's. PIA was the one who helped Dubai inlaunching Emirates they trained their staff and leasing them Aircrafts.
Update: Sorry i forgot, PIA also owns Roosevelt Hotel in NY which it bought in 1979. I think its closed operations due to current pandemic.
I think PIA trained airline crew at that time too. It has gone downhill since.

Personally I think PIA used to serve so much food on even a short flight. Lack of food on this flight I'm pretty sure it has something to do with pandemic. But I remember going to Pakistan from UK via this airline they used to serve something every 90 minutes and of course the main dinner and lunch and I always traveled economy. 🙂
Pia serves loads of food frequently.May be the pandemic has changed that.

If you are truly comparing PIA with Indian Carriers You must be aware that Indigo and Air Asia also did not offer any food on domestic flights unless you buy something yourself. secondly before Covid on this route proper food used to be served.
No food served due to Goverment orders Because of COVID.
There is pre booking system in Indian carriers. Most importantly, most Indian carriers are low cost carriers. BTW, air vistara do provide food on board.

Looks great. I was in transit in Baghdad, Karachi in the '80s (when the plane landed, the airport had snipers and soldiers on both sides of the plane because it was a Russian plane and there was war in Iraq and Afghanistan). Both airports looked like deserts and we didn't see a single tree when we landed around the airport and it was very hot. Karachi airport was old then.
Karl to PIA crew: Ab to aadat hai mujh ko FREE ke khano ki :) ... lots of Chai and Pakora Samosa to Karl :X
From Islamabad to Karachi its 1.5 hours flight so no food included in the fare . We went from England to Turkey by Virgin Airlines which was 4 hours flight but again no food was included. We had to pay £11 for a dry sandwich with tea . So if you want sauce you have to pay extra . I think you should get some details before any journey to avoid any disappointments. I hope this will help you on your way back . 👍
You are correct. All over the world, the standard is that a flight has to be more than 2 to 3 hours for them to serve any food.
Islamabad to karachi can't be just 1.5 hours
I've never had an issue with travelling PIA from the UK mainly because it's the only airline that flys direct to Lahore in 7.5 hours! I'm in another world in less than 10 hours and that's a massive plus point

I have traveled a lot with many different airlines. The service that I got on my PIA was so exceptional that I think about the kindness of the steward who attended to me and my two young children (in 1986).

For the ones who think PIA is safe, because of the recent crash (I forgot the destinations but both destinations were within Pakistan) PIA was banned from Europe for 6 months in July 2020. European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) found that 1/3 of PIA pilots had fake licenses

During Covid was same with most of the Airlines. Recently I went from Dubai to Islamabad and the food was fresh, although I did not eat as I had lunch in Dubai with my son and gave my food to next sitting young man. Only thing about PIA is that it has more employees than required. There were 5 FAs working in A320 while we in Canada are 3 FAs
I visited the revenue department of PIA to get a refund of my web ticket to Toronto. While the refund was being processed, I asked for mobile phone charger from 3 different employees as a favor who didn't had a charger so I moved on. Then I saw a 4th PIA employee having charger cable plugged into his computer. When I asked that employee if I can charge my phone. He rejected my request in taunting manner. When I told him not to taunt like that, he stood up as if to attack me. I grabbed his collar to defend myself. Suddenly almost 25 other PIA employees stated beating me. Then they took me to supervisor's room and slapped me there in presence of the supervisor to which the supervisor objected but the supervisor kept trying to convince me that I was wrong and tried to alter the details of the interaction but I refused to admit their version so they gave up and asked security to walk me out of the building. Security staff told me that they are also upset with the PIA staff and encouraged me to submit an incident report, which I did. I know for a fact that nothing will change and no action will be taken. I'm only bringing the complaint on record and to warn other passengers to take extreme caution for their own safety when dealing with PIA.

"They don't have flying experience," he said.
Pakistan has 860 active pilots serving its domestic airlines -- including PIA -- as well as a number of foreign carriers, Khan said.

In most of the domestic flights or short distance flights they only offer few snacks but no heavy meals. In our country too.
But it was an executive class, not economy. At least they should have offered welcome drinks, snacks. What's the purpose of executive, then? Just for leg space? Lol you'll get that in economy at door side seats for little bucks or for free in many flights
