I dislike the better animations collection, shreds the models and is too curved
animation overhaul and epic fight on the other hand both do animations really well
the eating animation one is also nice

Fresh animation is supposed to give Minecraft more polish, like the trailers, this is a better mod if you’re looking for realism

Nocubes looks like crap and takes the Minecraft feel from the game, agreed. I don't see the problem with the other mods though, they just make the game better.
