Wait what.... At the middle bolt.. Why would you not drill a hole, THEN cut the rail i half, in the middle of the hole. Rails will fit perfect together them.
Hey Justin, Thanks so much for reaching out! No worries at all, We consider this rails to be pretty universal and have heard customers use these on other models of van with great success! While the fitting may not follow the EXACT same process when mounting this to your Transit, but the principle will be similar! I hope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions at all! All the best, Team S+S
Hey Robbie, Thanks for getting in touch! Ah.. whoops! Thanks for letting us know, honest mistake! Glad you are enjoying your rail dude, look forward to hearing from you again soon. All the best, Team S+S
Hey Neil, Thanks so much for your comment! We've fitted a fair few dozen of these and have yet to have issues with Leakage, but we fully appreciate your input :) All the best, S+S
You'll need to go for the Multirail with a pop top setup, I'll pop the link below for ya! stitchesandsteel.com/products/the-s-s-multirail?variant=33793535943 All the best, S+S
I fell into the trap of buying 1 instead of 3 thinking it was a kit. Had to go to a caravan shop and get a 3m length of similar stuff. Anyone wanna buy 1 piece of rail?
I went to fit these to my T5 yesterday and couldn't see how they'd go together using the existing rail holes. Seems like a lot of grief to be cutting holes into the aluminium - couldn't Stitches and Steel make a product that is bespoke to each vehicle? I don't think the consumer should be trimming aluminium strips and lining up holes. A one-piece rail with predrilled holes would be a much simpler and more beneficial product IMO.
Heya Chris, Thanks so much for getting in touch! Gutted to hear you had a bit of a job with these rails mate. We do actually already make a pre-drilled version of these rails that are available to buy on our website. I'll pop the link below for you, sorry you missed it first time around! stitchesandsteel.com/products/t5-t6-awning-rail?variant=42583434494191 All the best, S+S

Will this rail fit onto a 1995 Ford Duetto high top van
Hey Jane!
We've not had the pleasure of working with a 1995 Ford Duetto, but there is no stand out reason why this wouldn't work out for you! :)
Min 8:18 ...They do Rails for DUCATIs ???

Mistake bro on video, 3 screws to a rail will be? 🙈✌️

Where you have joined the pieces, there is a definite leak probability. You need to take much more care to seal those bolt holes.

All looks great until you visit the homepage and find that this is yet another UK company that won't ship overseas.
